Chapter 5-5

  It is Earth’s darkest hour. Keizer Ghidorah stood before Godzilla and his army. They all charged, confident they could defeat him together. However, the tables turn on a dime, as Keizer Ghidorah proves to be much more powerful than expected. He unleashes a barrage of Keizer Gravity Beams, which are each powerful enough to knock a Kaiju off its feet. Godzilla and his old rival clash beams, but he is quickly overpowered. Anguirus bites down on his right neck, but the middle head forces him off, then prepares to stomp him into the ground. He then creates a thunderstorm with his wings, filled with lightning bolts that stun Titanosaurus. Kamacuras is easily swatted away. Kumonga tries to ensnare him with webbing, only to hold on for dear life as he flies about, soon forcing him to let go, with the spider landing on the mantis. King Caesar prepares to catch the beams, but they do something unexpected: they dodge the shisa and hit him from behind, inflicting searing pain onto him. Keizer Ghidorah prepares to finish Caesar off, but Gigamoth comes in and takes the blow, forcing him away and rendering the Archangel unconscious. Fairy Mothra and Garugaru try to aid him, but it’s not working. Even at his full size, Jet Jaguar is no match for the dark emperor. Using his beams, Ghidorah lifts Kamoebas off the ground and drops him onto Maguma. With the other Kaiju out of the way, Keizer Ghidorah turns his attention to the weakening Godzilla.

Kimberly: Get up, Godzilla!
Mikaela: Keizer Ghidorah’s too powerful…

  Keizer Ghidorah begins to throw Godzilla around the wasteland using his Keizer Gravity Beams like a rag doll. After some thrashing, Ghidorah stomps down on Godzilla and kicks him in the face. His three heads then lunge in like snakes, biting down on his fallen rival. The king roars in agony as he feels his very life force being drained away. He soon goes limp.

Kyne: What’s happening?
Aoki: His vitals are fading, radiation levels plummeting.
Nicole: Godzilla’s losing power.
Tim: We’ve got to give him more energy somehow.

  Their radar beeps, and it picks up four new Kaiju signals approaching the area. Ghidorah is too busy feeding to notice the tremor underneath him, and fails to react to multiple vines suddenly appearing and ensnaring him. The ground violently erupts, and out of the crater emerges Biollante! She bites down onto Keizer Ghidorah’s chest, trying to crush him.

Dakota: It’s Biollante!
Teresa: What’s she doing here?
Madison: Is she lending us a hand?
Nicole: I see more movement on the ground. They look like… larvae?
Mikaela: Could it be?

  They look down below to see the larval Mothra and larval Battra join the fray. Mothra fires webbings to keep Ghidorah’s jaws shut, while Battra bombards him with deadly bolts of energy. Then Servum comes flying in, latching onto Keizer Ghidorah’s wings, and trying to tear holes.

Hayes: That’s the Servum.
Mikaela: How do you know?
Hayes: I was there when Jablonskly and my dad made it. But I don’t remember it being this big.
Mikaela: The mixed DNA must have helped it to grow rapidly.

  One of the heads breaks free and prepares a blast, but the Servum is able to cancel it out using an EMP burst. Then, Jet Jaguar, having recovered, grabs Ghidorah by his tail and pulls onto it hard. The Elias sing to provide Mothra and Battra extra energy to press the fight forward.

  However, as quickly as hope resurfaced, it vanished. Keizer Ghidorah unleashes a surge of energy that burns Biollante and knocks Jet Jaguar back. His three heads grab Servum, Battra, and Mothra. The larvae are thrown aside like toys, while Servum is crushed in its deadly jaws, its blood staining the dragon’s teeth. He tosses the Servum’s carcass aside, and then he fires a blast that knocks Biollante down. As he moves in, Jet Jaguar grabs Keizer Ghidorah and locks him in his arms. A rapid beeping can be heard from his chest.

Jet Jaguar: Hasta la vista, baby.

  The robot then self-destructs, disorienting Keizer Ghidorah for a little while. With his destruction, his signal disappears, and Kyne sighs.

Kyne: How am I going to explain this to Zaheer?
Aoki: Keizer Ghidorah’s seen us…

  Keizer Ghidorah turns his attention to the Gotengo, and senses the humans inside. He loads some Keizer Gravity Beams, ready to snuff out the threat once and for all. But the Gigamoth appears, alive but wounded and with burning holes in his wings. Ghidorah turns his attention to the guardian and fires, the blast catching him on fire and sending him crashing into the dying Godzilla. Keizer Ghidorah roars in triumph. Gigamoth burns away, and Godzilla absorbs his ashes. The evil hydra turns back to the Gotengo.

Mikaela: Gigamoth… we’ve lost…
Nicole: Commander, Godzilla’s radiation levels are rising rapidly… they’re off the roof! Temperatures are rising rapidly, above 1200 degrees Celsius!
Moll: Gigamoth gave his life to restore Godzilla.
Lora: Now Ghidorah will face his full power.
Belvera: You guys might want to leave if you don’t want to be barbequed.
Kyne: Disengage the Gotengo and withdraw to a safe distance.

  Keizer Ghidorah hears growling and energy charging. Remaining buildings and other objects begin to catch fire or melt. Out of the smoke and steam emerges Godzilla. But now he is burnt red instead of black, with orange spines, and glowing lights from the seams in his body. This is no longer the Godzilla they knew. This is a new, awesome, and terrifying sight to behold…

INFERNO GODZILLA.

  Inferno Godzilla roars out to Keizer Ghidorah, who responds with his own roar. The King of Monsters then unleashes the most devastating nuclear pulse he has ever unleashed. The force is strong enough to melt the hydra’s armor and burn his wings completely off. Critically wounded Ghidorah unleashes his Keizer Gravity Beams, but Godzilla just absorbs them, combines them with his atomic breath, and redirects it, vaporizing his left and right heads down to the base. Disoriented, he fails to react to Inferno Godzilla grabbing him by the head and throwing him down, scalding his face in the process. The Kaiju King continues to throw the defeated dragon around. Then he throws him clear into the air, and his spines crackle with blood-red energy. He unleashes the most powerful atomic blast in recorded history, in a crimson spiral shape, that pushes Ghidorah far into the atmosphere, until it is destroyed in an explosion that completely obliterates him. The reign of Ghidorah is finally over. Godzilla roars out in triumph, unleashing one more nuclear pulse that devastates the area. When the smoke settles, the sun rises, and Godzilla is no longer glowing, but his skin is still a dark burnt red as a result of his new attack. The Gotengo returns, but they keep a distance, as they had just witnessed Godzilla’s full power. Godzilla sees the Gotengo, but does not engage, for he is now too exhausted to keep fighting. Having done their duty, the Elias leave with Fairy Mothra and Garugaru.

Kyne: Good Lord.
Aoki: How do we rebuild from this?
Tim: We have what we need.
Kimberly: But we must learn to co-exist with the Kaiju.
Hayes: Humanity gave rise to this monster, Godzilla. And ever since, we tried to destroy him.
Teresa: But then why does he protect the world and let us be?
Dakota: Maybe because Godzilla’s inside each one of us.
Nicole: Regardless, it’s finally over.
Mikaela: No, it’s not over. This is a new beginning.
Madison: Guys, look.

  One by one, the surviving Kaiju recover. Anguirus, Mothra, Maguma, Kamacuras, Kumonga, Kamoebas, King Caesar, Titanosaurus, Biollante, and Battra all surround Godzilla in the graveyard. All is silent for a moment. Anguirus is the first to approach Godzilla. After a brief silence, the armored monster bows down to Godzilla. One by one, the others bow before him, acknowledging him as their alpha.

Dr. Spencer: Long live the king.

  Godzilla rears back, and then he roars out into the air triumphantly, accepting the respect that his followers are giving him. Since his first appearance, Godzilla had battled aliens, mutants, and other dangerous threats, but this very day proved that no matter what, Godzilla is, and always will be, the King of the Monsters.
