Godzilla: Wrath of the Seatopians

Movie 15-18
Chapter 3-5

  Mahtim guides the GRF team in the vehicle she provided them. They eventually reach a deep cavern underwater. As they got deeper, the cave is lit with bioluminescent algae. Eventually, they go through a gateway, decorated with ancient statues of mermen holding tridents. Once inside, they see an entire underwater city. There are buildings that resemble coral, vehicles that look like marine animals such as sea turtles and sharks, and many different types of aquatic fauna swimming with more merpeople, some familiar, others completely new. The humans had never seen something so beautiful. Soon, they arrived at an old palace. Specialized bubbles are placed around the humans so they can swim with Mahtim to meet her father, the King of Atlantis.

Dr. Spencer: Mikaela would be thrilled to see this.

  Mahtim and her father start speaking in Atlantean, leaving the humans nearby confused; this is clearly an alien language to them.

Dakota: What are they saying?
Moll: Mahtim and her father are debating whether to awaken Manda.
Lora: He has no knowledge or trust in the human race.
Kimberly: Well, let’s hope this goes well.

  Back in Seatopian territory, Antonio and Fubuki are walking across the hall, followed by Rebecca, Hayes, and some guards.

Antonio: You know, Fubuki. We are very much alike, you and I.
Fubuki: Ugh…
Antonio: That was a compliment.
Fubuki: Oh, thank you.
Antonio: Think nothing of it. Such is the generosity of Seatopia.
Fubuki: So, if I remember the proposal correctly, I get to order this Dagahra around in exchange for getting you a furball that will power him up more?
Antonio: Yes. Dagahra is obedient. He will do anything you command, unless I command differently, of course. We’re here now. Behold, our god and savior… Dagahra.

  What the Sixth Extinction saw was a sight to behold: it was a draconic creature resting in stasis. It was a bluish green, with huge yellow wings and fins running its back and tail. Its bulky torso sported two muscular arms with sharp claws, but it had no lack limbs, just a long, finned tail. Its dragon-like head sported three crown-like horns and magenta eyes. Rebecca looked closely at it.

Rebecca: So this is what took out that submarine earlier.
Antonio: We do not like trespassers, and we wanted to send humanity a message that we are coming to put them in their place. Seatopia will be born anew after the scum is cleaned off. The Barem will aid in that.
Hayes: What’s a Barem?
Antontio: The byproduct of Dagahra himself. Genetically engineered to feed on terrestrial life as we move to the surface. Now, Fubuki, I will allow you to give a test order, so you can have an idea on how to command our god.

  Antonio hands Fubuki his crown. He closes his eyes and focused. Dagahra soon woke up from his sleep, and he darted out of a crevice in the ceiling. Fubuki hands the crown back to the Seatopian emperor.

Antonio: What did you tell it?
Fubuki: I told him to go to the nearest city and burn it to the ground. Humanity will get the message.
Rebecca: All right, who’s ready to go find that puffball?

  In Atlantis, the mermaids and GRF feel a tremor far from above. This startles them greatly.

Alex: What was that?
Belvera: Dagahra. He’s awake and outside on the surface world!
Lora: And just in time. The King has agreed to help us.
Moll: He knows where the tomb of Manda is, but we must hurry.

  On the surface, the GRF picks a Kaiju signature coming close to Sydney, Australia, which had barely finished recovering from the frozen hell it was put under.

Aoki: Commander, we’ve picked up a different Kaiju signature heading for Sydney. It could be the one that took out our sub.
Kyne: Evacuate the city and man battle stations.
Aoki: Wait… check this out. It’s leaving some kind of red trail behind.
Kyne: Blood?
Aoki: No. Zooming in and scanning… oh God, they’re parasites!

  Dagahra soon surfaces, completely destroying the Harbor Bridge with his massive wings. He flies around and attacks ruthlessly, whether unleashing Barem to devour people and animals or blasting buildings with his crimson Irabushan Beam. The GRF’s weapons have no effect on it, and are quickly obliterated. The GRF then detects a radiation signal heading for Sydney. This could mean only one thing: Godzilla.

Aoki: Godzilla’s here.
Kyne: Bloody hell. These Kaiju are like Godzilla magnets. Every time one attacks us, Godzilla comes to fight it.
Aoki: I think it’s territory at times, but Dr. Spencer says he’s here to restore balance.

  Godzilla surfaces and roars out to Dagahra, who responds to him with a loud, bellowing roar. He charges the Monster King at full speed, ramming him into Sydney Tower. Godzilla recovers and fires his atomic breath, bringing the Seatopian menace to the ground. Dagahra tries to escape, but Godzilla grabs him by the tail and starts throwing him around like a rag doll. Down under, Mahtim and her father lead the GRF to the gateway to where Manda is said to be resting. The two mermaids speak in their foreign language.

Moll: They say this is as far as they can take us.
Lora: They also say that the pathway and tomb are filled with traps, so we must use caution.
Dr. Spencer: Tell them that we are grateful for their help.

  They speak one more time before the Atlantean mermaids dive back into the water. The Elias scout ahead on Fairy Mothra and Garugaru. The humans tread carefully. Along the way, they do spring a few traps, from poison darts to wall blades to trap doors. Luckily, only a small number of the team has fallen to those traps. They even narrowly escape a pit full of hungry Barem. They eventually reached a golden chamber. Ghogo sniffs one of the lost treasures, and Dakota looks at it, then at the bracelets on his tail.

Dakota: I think this is where the Ghogos were manufactured.
Alex: What’s that bubbly thing on the ceiling? It looks like a map of the world highlighting different locations.

  Ghogo then leaps on a similar platform on the ground, highlighting an area on the ceiling that resembles Australia. A bubble forms, showing the situation happening now. They see Godzilla and Dagahra duking it out in Sydney, much to their surprise.

Dr. Spencer: So that’s Dagahra. That thing is massive.
Kimberly: And there’s Godzilla.
Alex: This is bad…
Dakota: We can do it. We just need to find out where Ghogo has to go to wake up Manda. If the Elias are right, then he is…

  They hear a gun click, and Dakota slowly turns to see Fubuki pointing his shotgun at him. Rebecca and other terrorists and Seatopians arrive and surround them. Antonio then appears out of the darkness.

Antonio: …is the key to a new era.
Fubuki: Thanks for doing all the heavy lifting for us, Spencer.

  Suddenly, Fubuki grabs Ghogo out of Dakota’s arms, holding him by his tail. Dakota tries to take the furry creature back, but Fubuki punches him in the mouth, sending him into the ground. Hayes is the only person on the Sixth Extinction side shocked by this. He heard that his parents were ruthless and showed no mercy. But he’s finally seeing it for himself, and for the first time in his life, he feels no sympathy for his parents. But fear holds him back, at least for the moment.
