Samuel comes across a village, which is led by Arkayo. When he asks about the raptors, she reveals that they are the Slaves of Chaos. The raptors, called Deathrunners, used to be the rulers of Skull Island, and ruled with an iron fist until they were overthrown by Kong's ancestors. The Deathrunners are also just workers, soldiers, and scouts, all serving a huge queen known as Gaw. She reveals the cave-painting from before, explaining that when the island dies, Gaw will awaken and try to reclaim the island. She also reveals that Bethany was after the Lost Treasure of Skull Island, and has kept it hidden for years. Though he wants to save the animals, Samuel agrees to help return the Treasure to its rightful resting place. Later, the western part of the island is destroyed by a huge tsunami, which wipes out over half the rescue party there...
