Description i don't even know anymore. let me know if this should be matured.

tbh, i still think about this concept a lot >_>; only now i realize that--if the abominable super-mullet is any indication-- kon's hair would curl if grown out. yup.

...nightwing why are you so weird and unnecessarily flexible in my world

from what i understand, it's a character that can act as both an uke and a seme. seme-uke. seke.

So like if Tim was with Bart he'd be Seme but if his with Kon he'd be a uke.

So, I just looked through all the sketches and whatnot for your AU concept, and I gotta say: did you ever write any of this down? And if so, can I read it?! Because, holy hell, I would freaking love to read this.

And, of course, your art is adorable and hilarious as always!

thank you! no, i never really got around to writing anything down. i mean i SORT of used part of the idea as a base for a creative writing assignment i did in high school, but it was pretty OOC and in general just horribly written. because i am a horrible writer |D i'm not even sure i have the file on this computer... :\ i'm really flattered by your interest though ;3;

That last comic, I would do the same thing, feet are no. All the little doodles are so funny, I think the best line is 'I haven't fulfilled my smirk quota for this issue', it made me giggle, as did the little scene where they are all running across the roof, Batman just looks so focused in comparison to the rest.

*deep breath*

YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Not only is it another page of D.C doodles not long after a page of D.C doodles already done...but it's a Bat-centric page of doodles! With many glorious observations scribbled in as well! My comment may be all over my place due to my brain skipping back and forth between the pictures so I apologise for the incoherent spazzing in advance.

Even though it has a distinct bat flavour I think my favourite one is that one of Bart skidding to a stop. I just love the motion in it. Actually...the doodles on the right of that one are pretty genius too. It's the expressions. They're glorious. I love how there's so much of Dick doing acrobatic stuff. He WAS raised in a circus by two trapeze people so it only stands to reason that he'd probably be quite flexible. Seeing him actually do some hardcore gymnastics makes me wonder why he doesn't do that yoga stuff in the comics more. I love that little comic at the end too. Tim in the Daktverse sure does like his books. That pose Dick is in is awesome. So complicated and stretchy. And then the Babs cameo at the end. I don't know if it was intended but I got the impression Babs was a little turned on by what she was seeing. I mean...from her angle she'd be able to see everything Dick had in his lunchbox. He's only wearing tights after all. I didn't know she was into the 'sharing' thing though. She sees everything Dick's packing and her first thought is to invite Kara in on it? Nice. OH! That lineup of them all running across the rooftops! Tim is sandwiched between Jason and Damian both flipping him off. Which sums up their entire relationship in one little doodle. At first I thought that one at the top was Superboy with some female characters but then I realised it was girlified Robin and Kid Flash. Slow brain day. But I think I was thrown because you actually designed outfits for them and didn't just throw them in the usual garb. And the comparing of the different batsuits! As soon as I saw that I went "Damn straight! He should have pouches on his belt and not just have some belt with little tubes on it that don't hold anything!" but then I saw the little comment above it and thought that maybe you pointing out the size of his underpants. Well anyway...it still let me rant about utility belt design.

Okay. I think I managed to vent some of my spazz. Heart rate is going down now.

Here's to your current comic obsession! May it produce many more doodle pages.

Dakt37 In reply to The-G [2011-01-29 01:08:21 +0000 UTC]

thanks!

i think my nightwing is most heavily influenced by the animated appearances he's had... especially in "under the red hood." he's just so... BOUNCY oh, also in the 'lonely place of dying' mini. tim's being all cute and bruce is trying but clearly failing to be grumpy about it all, and dick's just back there smirking his fucking face off

i can't take batman seriously when it's not bruce. batman is supposed to be muscular and imposing and realistically loaded with gadgets, not lithe and pretty and fashionable. dick!batman showed up in the TT comic and i laughed for HOURS. such low-riding bat-panties! i was seriously expecting him to start exotic dancing

the thing about that bat-clan running scene is that it's actually interpretable in two ways. it makes sense that jason and damian would both flip off tim, but it can also been seen as them flipping off each OTHER with confused tim caught in the middle because while it's funny to think about the two "bad sons" teaming up against the "good sons," realistically i think jason and damian are too much alike to do anything but hate each other

as for the comic at the end... at first i was going to have batman show up to add insult to injury, but then i sort of realized how kinky it was and bat-clan slash incest freaks me right the hell out, so i brought in babs instead. besides, you're making me ship dick/babs a bit anyway

The-G In reply to Dakt37 [2011-02-01 01:11:26 +0000 UTC]

Well I guess he SHOULD be bouncy. Right? I mean...he did grow up as an acrobat. You've read A Lonely Place of Dying? That was quick. That's some pretty pro-active nerdery right there. I had the same reaction that look on Dick's face. He knew exactly what was going to happen and just sit back and let it play it's course.

The thing that gets me with BatDick is that I keep forgetting it's him. In the costume AND out. Let's be honest...he's not drawn much different. His version of the batsuit has some changes but unless he's in a well-lit area it can pass as the classic uniform. So I'll be reading along thinking I'm reading a Batman story then Batman will make a joke and I'll be all ...what the fuck? Then I'll remember it's Dick under the cowl. I've never noticed his low riding batpanties though. WHAT? I HAVEN'T! Have you seen Bruce's codpiece? Outrageous!

You know when I was writing about that flipping the bird thing it occured to me that I was quite possibly wrong and that Jason and Damian were flipping each other off...but I went with my version anyway because I thought that if I described it with enough conviction then it would convince you that I was completely correct. Maybe Jason and Damian just flip people off. That's how they communicate. They're like Craig's family. They just sit around flipping people off.

Damn straight. You can talk about your Kory's all you want...but everyone comes around sooner or later. It's DickBabs forever and that's just the way it is.

Dakt37 In reply to The-G [2011-02-06 23:34:24 +0000 UTC]

well, yeah. when i'm home between semesters, i'm able to go to my good comic shop that has bajillions of backissues. i bought them out of YJ and impulse ages ago, but i never really knew where to go after that... so when i get recommendations of back issues for other things, i jump right at 'em. also i just love giving that place my money i want them to stay in business as long as possible but i digress.

i've only seen batdick... HAHAHA BAT-DICK. *cough* no, sorry, i'm mature. i've only really seen mr grayson as batman in the pages of TT and on covers of things, and they draw him super-pretty when he's spotlighted like that. maybe when he's skulking around in shadows inside a batbook he looks more batty, but i just can't see it from where i'm standing XD;

have you ever read *The-BlackCat 's "batman and sons" stuff? it's so adorable and i can't un-see all the little robins that way, and i just keep thinking what would happen if she added toddler damian to the mix

somehow, having such a sexy EX as starfire is almost more impressive as having her as a sexy gf.

The-G In reply to Dakt37 [2011-02-07 21:59:56 +0000 UTC]

Jump at recommentdations ay? Well I should try and think of some other 'must reads' so you can give some more money to that comic shop. I don't think I need to worry about giving the comic shops money. They do just fine. They don't have much to offer in the way of back issues though. The crappy shop has a HUGE back issue section but not much choice. There's heaps of titles but a real mixed assortment. Like if you look through the Batmans it'll go 456,457,789. The good comic shop's back issue section is tiny. Really. I've seen computer desks larger than their back issue section.

BAH! Who cares about maturity. I see your BatDick and raise you a BatSchlong! That's probably where it's coming from then. In the batbooks he's drawn the same way Bruce was. Some people make him look a bit more lithe but generally if you didn't tell anyone who it was they'd assume it was Bruce. He's got the broody silhouette thing going on and everything.

I have indeed! Just to show how little I care for Batman Beyond...every new strip I read I think "Dang. Why does she have to put that Terry guy in it?" I'm surprised there's been no Damian added to it. He's the only one that is technically a blood son. I love the other family pin-ups she's been doing. The Hawk and Aqua families. I love that shit.

But that all depends on people thinking she's sexy.

Dakt37 In reply to The-G [2011-03-05 03:26:12 +0000 UTC]

well, i guess that's because back-issues aren't exactly like grocery store items... once they're sold out, you can't really re-stock. so if one guy comes in and buys a huge chunk of issues, there'll be a hole in that box probably forever

BatWang

haha aww... the only reason i'm not going to defend baby!terry much is that i'm not always that thrilled to see him either. though for me, it's just because babies and their antics are really not that cute to me :\ also it makes me sad that mommy!bats seems to favorite him D:

I guess there's always digital comics. It's not the same as holding the actual comic but it might be good for reading stuff you can't find or hasn't been collected. I know they've just released a couple hundred Batman comics as digital downloads too.

OH HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! BatWilly.

That seems to be the general trend. The Robins will be doing something and Batman will run in and yell at them for putting Terry in danger. Not that I'm saying it's not readable. Just saying...why's Terry get all the love? He's a poor man's Batman! YEAH! I said it. I don't care.

i just couldn't figure out if the movie was a parody or dead fucking serious i'd be laughing one second and horrified the next :\ and not the "this scene is horrifying, i should feel horror along with the characters!", like "holy shit how could they put that in a movie what the hell is wrong with these people"

Perhaps those are the emotions you're supposed to have. Like, I couldn't believe they stabbed Dave and he got hit by a truck. Especially so early. But he got right back on the horse.
