Shin Bakunawa | Titanus Bakunawa
[The Winged Moon Serpent]
Filipino Legends speak of an enormous sea dragon who caused eclipses by attempting to eat the moon. People would gather to scream and shout, banging pots and pans to dissuade the enormous creature from taking away the moon.
Titanus Bakunawa however has no desire to consume and destroy the Earth's moon but many in fact find it very pretty. The serpent titan awoke in 1992 after exploratory drilling in the Malampaya Gas Field woke her up. Angered she sunk two freighter ships and hid beneath Mount Kanlaon, never to be seen again although fishermen in the Sulu and Bohol Sea have consistently reported sightings of her.
On an expedition to the area in 2010, Mark Russell and Ilene Chen encountered the Sea Dragon who curiously observed them for several minutes, circling their vessel, before disappearing. It was noted on the expedition that the dragon had been seen collecting silver objects, theorised to be decoration of a nest or an underwater dwelling. Fisherman often avoid having particularly silver or shiny objects on their boats as a precaution.
More recently Bakunawa has become restless and has been seen flying in the higher atmosphere especially on full moons in accordance with sudden bizarre radiation and radio signals coming from the moon.

Despite Fisherman being wary of her, her presence seems to attract more fish and rejuvenate ecosystems.
Dislikes loud noises. Excess noise by people has lead to attacks in the past.
Likes pretty shiny silver things. Especially ones that resemble the moon.
Personality:
Very Curious. Seems very playful.
Gets very aggressive if disturbed by noise or provoked.
Often swims with whales and whale sharks. Once seen with a colossal squid.
Although mostly seen around the Philippines she has been tracked as far South as Darwin and has been sighted around Japan once or twice.
One of the more solitary Titans, seems happy to spend her time alone.
Often hunts Gezora
Has a lot of territorial battles with Manda who has been seen stealing from her silver hoard.
Recently seen heading towards the middle of the Pacific Ocean and was afterwards seen with the Turtle Gamera.
