Really substantial inkwork you've got here. I'd dread the work needed to stipple it. Chris Claremont would be proud of you...even if he didn't do a lot with Thor. The crystal ball came out really two dimensional, but you got the feeling of it right on. This seems more the style of early Dr. Strange when Jack Kirby was tracing the dREAD dORMAMMU..oops, cap lock got stuck.
I wonder, though it was a year and a half since you posted this, can you remember what music you were listening to when you drew this?

No idea - this was actually drawn in 1998 or 1999, so it predates the DA posting by much longer. I have also put a lot of mileage on my drawing arm since I did this piece, so if I were to redo it or do something similar, there would be many changes!

THAT'S REALLY COOL. I'M TRYING TO GET INTO DOING SOME COMIC STYLE DRAWINGS; AND I WAS WANTING TO DO A SCENE WITH AN EVIL KING ON HIS THRONE WITH HIS WIVES AROUND. THIS INSPIRES ME TO WORK ON THAT IDEA. THANKS.

Thanks! These are all characters from Marvel's Thor (with Walt Simonson's designs from the 80's on Hela/Karnilla) that a friend of mine requested about 8 years ago.
