Did I already mention that Sato is awfully bad at fighting?There's a reason he prefers manipulation and mindbending over the classic way of just using regular energy to pack a punch. His energy field is highly unstable and it easily overloads, causing awful nosebleeds and sometimes even internal bleedings. Not that he really feels it, that same energy is pretty good at blocking the pain, but it's pretty damn dangerous and he knows. It's for that reason that he usually ends battles in the fastest way possible.

I kinda thought he'd be good at fighting, at least in some fashion. He's got that creepy don't-mess-with-me look that made me assume it. So it's kind of funny.

Oh, he's good at fighting, but not in the traditional way.
His frail body and unstable energy make him physically rather weak. He mostly uses mindcontrol, illusions and manipulation as a weapon... and he does that so effectively that he rarely has to engage in traditional battles at all.

Nah, he can appear very charming and even somewhat shy.
He's a master when it comes to manipulating people, and he likes to keep up appearances as long as possible, to just win people over without having to fight. It's not until you actually pose a threat to him that he lets go of his friendly demeanor and shows the real darkness that's behind the mask.
