"Entering the sphere of dispersion of the object, the womb of the distribution of forms. This is the very form of illusion, of a return to play (illudere). Going beyond an idea means negating it, going beyond a form means passing from one form to another. The first defines the critical intellectual position that is often the stance of modern painting in its contact with the world; the second describes the principle of illusion, where there is no fate for form other than form. In this sense, we need illusionists, who know that art and painting are illusion, in other words as far from any intellectual criticism of the world as from aesthetics proper (which always presupposes a reflective discrimination between beautiful and ugly), who know that art is first of all a deception of the eye [un trompe-l'oeil ], a deception of life [un trompe-la-vie], just as any theory is a deception of meaning [un trompe-le-sens] and just as painting, far from being an expressive and therefore supposedly true version of the world, consists in dressing up traps [dresser des leurres], creating deceptions in which the supposed reality of the world is naive enough to get caught. Just as theory does not consist in having ideas (and therefore in flirting with the truth), but in setting snares in which meaning is naive enough to get entangled."

De eerste tekening is heel mooi gedaan, zo met die ruggen en mooie gezichten.
Ook de spieren zijn goed weergeven
De Lucy tekening is ook leuk, haar rug zou alleen wat rechter mogen en het kopje wat meer dichterbij voor het echte koffie-gevoel!
