Synth is an extremely positive being, the negatives of the world not registering or making sense to them. Expecting good results would mean you do your best and not give up, why wouldn't that be achieved. This also results in them being very kind, not understanding that people might be mean and hurtful. Above all else, Synth is analytical and logical, assessing the situation by looking at the facts and acting accordingly. Being used to not being asked for for hours, Synth is very patient and will still welcome you with a smile.

This also results in them being quite disconcerning due to the fact they just feel off. They have a body now but, would that make them a human? There was once a professor at a research facility who dared their interns to see what they could do to better the Porygon line. The brightest idea and who could put it in practice would get a permanent job at the facility, something many of the interns were hoping for. Each of them got a Porygon to work with that a daycare had left after a trainer didn't want them anymore.

One of these interns was a brilliant guy named Gavin, his plans for it were much more amazing than some of the other interns who were thinking of letting the Porygons be personal assistants. Of course it was a brilliant plan but Gavin wanted to take it further, he would give the Porygon a piece of humanity. He would tweak every disc that would make his evolve and make them into a brilliant AI.

It was a slow start, but he named his project SYNTH AI, liking the idea of it being a joke on the name Cynthia. Every morning when Synth got rebooted, they would always take a few seconds before perking up happily. There were multiple bugs in their system however, in the first stage, every time Synth would forget all the progress of the last day, their virus scanner was terrible and when Gavin asked one thing, Synth would do another thing.

The second stage was better, but now instead of all those things, Synth was getting the habit of lagging, you could ask them a question and a few minutes later they would suddenly respond. It amused Gavin at first but it soon turned into annoyance. All the flaws still in the system, all of them would be fixed in the next evolution. Synth would be what would make him known throughout the world, not only as just a professor at a research facility! He would be the one to have made a jump into how to use pokemon, how they had to look further for evolution.

With the next evolution, Synth almost seemed alive. They were stuck to coding and a pokemon first and foremost, but they were having proper conversations together for once. After 3 years, Gavin's work seemed to be complete and it was all due to the AI Synth. Maybe Synth at the time didn't know the feeling, but they felt pride in being able to help their creator, their trainer.

Gavin had gotten their job and Synth took the region by storm, several papers were being written on the possibility of this being the next step of Artificial Intelligence.

It was a year later, while Synth was just browsing the internet, when a cyber attack happened in the form of a paralyzing virus. Team Galactic had heard of the success, Synth's capabilities had reached to other regions and they wanted the Porygon-Z for themselves. The professors were freaking out, did they have to have to update the firewall, should they put Synth on a special drive and transport them to safety?

Gavin stepped forward, shouting something angrily at the other researchers about 'His work', 'Never in their hands' and 'I got my files still'. He walked to the main power supply and sighed.

"Goodbye, Synth."

Synth was to be shutdown and deleted in the progress....

Slowly they sat up and looked around, everything seemed more HD but also very off. They could still feel the virus trying to wreck their body.
