Quote by Lieutenant Commander Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation.The quote comes from, as best as I can remember, an episode where a people populated this one planet in violation of some treaty, and the race who owns the planet gets pissed and tells them to move after several years have passed. The people refuse to move because of the hardships they faced in cultivating and living in the area, and the second race threatens to exterminate them all. Data is sent down to try and talk them into evacuating. In the end, he mentions this quote, understanding how attached the people were to the place, but remarking that it could be replaced, whereas their lives could not.
Watch me get chewed out for not getting that synopsis 100% right.

Even though I am a huge Trekkie(Durr), I have not seen much of Next Generation, so I couldn't tell you if that's an accurate synopsis. XD Still, quotes like that are why I love Data. He's so sympathetic even as a synthetic being(More so after he gets his emotion chip), it's amazing...
