The most surprising thing about "The Orville" is propably the fact that Ed Mercer is a Captain one can look up to. Did not expect that, to be honest, but I'm glad they made him a compotent officer and a good man.Happy Arbor Day

I wouldn't say that. They are pretty competent. They might do things less... how shall i put it?... elegant as others, but when confronted with a crisis, they deliver surprisingly good results. I really like that.
