I really liked it, even if at first glance it seemed to me just weird...you know modern art, just random things without any sense...But looking at it I felt like in front of a Dali' (he's one of my favourite
painters).
I like this work because it really suits the way people feel both the modern world and in the ai no kusabi's one
Congratulations.

Refreshingly unqiue...
I lack food so just the mention of burger makes it all the better.

Very dreamlike, damphyr, I like it. The way the ground and sky slowly dissolve in the middle really gives this effect. Also, I can't help but notice how the silhouetted man and the hamburger both stand out from the backgrounds. Makes one's eyes concentrate on those two precise features, giving them lots of importance.

I agree, the smoke is pretty damn good. It's beautifully rendered. I like how the man is more of a shadow, kind of slipping through life. I really like the bleeding 'burger... could be a metaphor for many different things... The sky and the fields are a bit weak though, in my opinion. In an image like this they really could become a character of their own, but they're a bit flat and one-dimensional. All in all I love this piece for the symbolism you can draw from it... and it's all thanks to benedryll.

I love this new side of teh `damphyr
The road rocks. I love how it leads me back into the hamburger, not only adding a sense of depth to the piece, but help keeping my eye within it as well.
The strange hamburger being upside down, makes the viewer sit back, and wonder what the heck the artist was thinking. Whether a statement about Burger King, or a mixture of Bowie and Benadryl.
The use of yellow really balances out the piece. From the yellow in the road, to the sand. But the cheese in the burger really is the key factor in this, it helps unite the whole piece, balancing the sky and ground.
Love the layout, with the longer size of the canvas. Too many piece stick to the regular 8.5 x 11, and this is a nice relief.

Very unique and quite different from the usual, but nevertheless it's splendid. The hamburger certainly looks tasty!

This is crazy indeed! But looks great, surrealism is always very captivating for me. You may not use a traditional watercoloring method, but I think whatever technique you use works.

It reminds me of Dali's work where there is the vast landscape and dripping objects. I like the format of the piece.
Hehe...Ai no Kusabi? I've never seen the anime, but I heard of its reputation...and I'm curious to see how it influenced this piece.

I was told to get it because the story line is incredible. And it is. ....I just wasn't informed of the.... *cough* 45 minutes of... yeah.... in it. But the art in it is just incredible. It is actually responsible for the figure and the cigarette.... there's one scene in it which I always think of whenever I hear Sweet Thing.

I love this. It's very cool. One thing though. You know where it seems that road kinda moves off the ground? It's really bright in that area and it brings your eyes directly to there. Maybe dull the intensity to allow the eyes to rest on the other parts of the piece more, unless of course that was your intention. Other then that I like the feel of the piece alot and just well-done. <3.

hmmm
very interesting
I wonder what it all means
but thats what happens when you mix paint with Benadryl.
is the red thing holding up the hamburger supposed to be phalic?
or is it just me
....
watercolors can be rather tricksy some times, and a pain if you screw up
or don't like the color you just layed down
like the tech you used for the smoke,
did a very admirable job
keep the cold and allergy medicine flowing
it seems to be working for you

aha
I have pulled that number before
thats the bueaty of phalic shapes though,
if they are meant as that or just a happenstance thing
every one has to ask themselves
"is that a ___ or is it just me?"
