So, this is a little sketchy drawing of Adenydd, my little cherub, for those not familiar with him. Done almost entirely in blue. I really had fun with this, though am having a hard time deciding if the style is more anime or more comic.
Angst angst angst!I was trying for a more long, lean body style than I usually do. I like his shoulders. Nummy. Pretty stock pose, but eh, I think it fiths the personality of my bashful little angel. This verison is tiny, I know, I'm sorry. But, for those interested in my scribble-coloring style, nummy detail shots!

...so yes. Something cute and fluffy and fantasy for my upcoming visit to FenCon. I'm pretty pleased with it, despite how wonky the anatomy is. I actually corrected a bit of it, but I thought it took away from some of the cartoonish charm of the original. So yeah.. it's imperfect and I love it for being so. ...kind of desribes my love for Adenydd, in general.

Done entirely in Photoshop, three layers of lineart (Yep, three), one for coloring and one for background.

this is a great picture, i like it a lot! actually, it reminds me a terrifying amount of a picture i made about six months ago with a tablet and a feeble grasp of how to use photoshop. and you inspired me to redraw the old picture. if i post it on deviant art and youre interested, i can come back and tell you when it's up. i just think it's funny that both pictures have a reference to "blue", both subjects have wings, and both subjects are standing in the same position.. weird. anywho, i'm sure you'll be happy to know that i am well aware that your picture is about ten times better than mine, if you ever see it, but i really do think this picture is great and it's really weird how similar it is to the one i drew a while back, very cool! and after reading over my comment i noticed that it could sound, to someone silly, like im accusing you of copying my picture, so just in case, im definitely not, because i never even posted that picture on the internet, so clearly you couldnt have copied it. plus, it was not a very good picture, lol, so no one would want to copy it anyway.

Now this makes me sad. I just went a blew so much on prints since my dorm is bare, and here this is. Bah, there is always next pay day I guess, at least there will be when I get a bloody job.
Right, as you can tell, I really love the piece. While right now I don't have enough sense to critique it like I should, I do still have a suggestion. You should do another piece similar to this one with the character facing in the opposite direction and in a different colour; red perhaps? That way, they could be compainion prints and look simply adorable together.

I'm going to make up for not commenting on anything of yours lately by doing a really long critique. His upper legs and upper arms are too long, they should about the same length as the lower part and legs should be the same length as the torso. The torso is a little too long too. There are way too many big folds in his shirt and the colouring is a little scribbly. I love his face though, it's really expessive. The wings are really nice too.

OOOOO. I enjoy the painting style. The sharp contrast of colours, and the monochromatic nature gives it that edgy chalk and charcoal feel.
Either way, it's beautiful.
The hints of pink in this are very subtle, but add that little extra flair to it. It makes his appearance look less marble like, and more humaine.
Still, very mystical.

I love the gesture, the use of line, the quality of the light as it hits the figure. I love how the body is strained, as if turning to look at something, and yet the face is so forlorn, as if looking at it wouldn't matter anyway. The wings are a nice touch as well.. makes him even cuter!

I love that fact that you used tons of blue and added other colors very lightly in his skin.
The folds in his t-shirt need some revision and I know that isn't easy to draw folds and all.
The pose is good. The hair has a nice flow and volume. The wings and the shading are great.
I would say for you choose a more comic style, because it gives more artistic freedom and doesn't limit you[...but it's just my opinion].

Nice blue themed picture. I like the colouring, the little hints of pink and yellow keep it from becoming too monochromatic and boring.
I like the posing for the most part. The left leg is bend in a very awkward way though. I think it could be fixed if you adjusted the lighting on his lower left leg. Right now it gives the impression of a very weird twist in his leg because the light seems to fall on the outside of his calve but on the inside of his upperleg.
Aside from those little things i think it's a very nice picture!

the onyl porblem I have with it is that the folding in his clothing seems a little rigid and unreal, the fabric hangs a little unusally, but aside form that it s a nice piece with a great montone scheme

The lighting is really pretty, especially on his right arm and leg. Very nice.

I love it, he seems so frozen but alive.
He look so thin, but his arms look nice and muscular, and I think the pose is great for him!
Only thing that I would say is off is his left calf, it looks like he is made of rubber there! But, a very good looking rubber!

But, until I can get the new CD I am just going to keep replaying Vampire Heart, Killing Loneliness, and Wings of a Butterfly while on the computer and wait for them to release more songs online.
