So I thought these were kind of neat. There's like a million and fifteen more just like 'em.Three of my favorite funny book characters: DAREDEVIL (the man without fear but with, however, quite a dashing costume), THE QUESTION (Vic Sage or Renee Montoya, I love that faceless cook), and BATGIRL (the Cassandra Cain version. Whatever happened to her?). I have a thing for kung fu detectives with moral quandaries, it seems.

Out of the superhero set, I think DD makes some of the most sense. His origin, I mean. It wasn't like he trained to be Daredevil -- he had his powers for around ten years before he became the Man Without Fear. Once he decided to fight le criminals, he just sort of applied what he already had going for him. Seems very organic.

I agree, he's my favorite unsung hero. He's got everything you could need. Practical application for his superpowers, neo-noir settings, lawyer by day, judge and jury by night, girlfriends who are either doped up to their eyeballs or that want to kill him (and let's face it, who can't relate to that) and a lifelong existential struggle with God! (I believe it was Frank Miller who said only a Catholic could be a superhero and a lawyer at the same time). Pure poetry.

His B-hero status is bart of his appeal. He could be an A-lister, easy. He could be the Marvel U's Batman... if he didn't keep shooting himself in the foot with his disaster life choices.

DC don't know what to do with Cassandra Cain. She's a kick ass character and they really messed her up.
She totally needs the proper attention. Honestly, she was one of the best things to come out of the No Man's Land storyline.

Love your take on Cassie. Just FYI - I think she's back to being (mostly) not crazy again. She popped up in the first issue of the new Batgirl, and handed the name over to Steph. Don't know what DC's next wacky plan is for her though...
