Wow, I am ecstatic with how this turned out!
Done with India ink (black and colors), and watercolor markers. I only drew one side of this, then mirrored and combined the image in MS Paint. I eyeballed from several Canadian Eskimo dog photos; there aren't a whole lot of photos of these majestic animals online, but enough headshots to get the proportions right and reference the mouth from any breed for the unique pose.
My style inspirations were Andres Pries and this poster I have in my room, by Phil Lewis. In the end, I managed to add my own flavour while learning from their works.

Thanks Infinite! I think I will try to draw more of these kinds of portraits of other animals in the future 
The comparison is pretty striking! The markers are so much more precise than painting with brushes for me. And using MS Paint really helped too XD
