Description Day Five of "Seven Days of Virtues" with Raphael, the Archangel of Humility

As an angel of Humility, Raphael has always compared himself to others. To boast was to go against his very nature, so he focused on his negative traits. He lacked the power and coordination to be a skilled fighter. He was awkward when it came to social events and didn't know how to express himself. He was the runt of the litter and always wondered why Gloria had chosen him of all angels to be one of the original seven Archangels. However, there was one angel who always reminded him of his worth: his best friend, Zadkiel.

She was his partner all through training and allowed him to practice medicine on her after sparring. When the first saints started being canonized, she supported his idea to start the Infimary and train the saints as healers in Heaven. So when she started courting Gabriel, he supported her decision, even if he didn't fully agree with it. In fact, he stood beside her at their wedding as a witness to their vows. Even when she was expecting her first child, she made him to spend time with him. He felt completely lost when she fell. He was certain no one would make him feel as important as she did. However, his fellow Archangels were there to put him back on his feet. Even Gabriel, who was in the throws of his own depression, reached out a hand. It was then that Raphael knew that he wasn't seen as lesser than. Even Gabriel, who had a tendency to think mightily of himself, saw him as equal.

Raphael has chosen to not use a weapon - a controversial choice among those in Gloria's army. Instead, he focuses soley on healing the wounded. He can lead a team of saints with ease and perform the most complicated of surgeries without panic. His fellow Archangels are also certain he could hold his own in a fight. After all, he knows exactly where to strike to land a deadly blow.
