I don't see hiccup as huffelpuff. he is and inventor and a plan maker. traits of a smart and dependable ravinclaw while Rapunzel has a nice personality and is good with...a frying pan? the two need a house switch.

There are arguments both ways, honestly. Hiccup is intelligent, Rapunzel is eager to learn. Hiccup is loyal, Rapunzel can make friends at the drop of a hook hand. Honestly, I can go for either.

its just difficult for me to see a person that is based on the iron age of mythical Viking history with such intelligence and applied ability be pitted against
a person that thinks on an emotional bases where as hiccup is a logistician and thinks on a logical basis. Its like comparing spock the Vulcan against opra winfry. So when I think of the rational personality traits that are required to be a ravenclaw, I don't think of Rapunzel. she is to emotional and irrational and she reacts to situations through instinct rather than cleverness. she doesn't think things through she just reacts. Hens lots of blunt force frying pan action. Hiccup never just reacts he thinks things through and comes up with a logical plan. I know everyone has their own opinion, I just feel very strongly because It is my favorite book and favorite movie......and I'm an profile analysis student. I really cant help it.

Well, you know what they say about old habits. But I did read something from another Hogwarts AU that has Hic as Hufflepuff that said that the Sorting Hat would probably look a little deeper than surface personality. Look at the Parvati Twins, one's a Gryf and one's a Claw. Hermione too, smart enough for Ravenclaw, landed in Gryffindor. All this being said, you are entitled to your own opinion and I honestly agree with you on those points you mentioned. But like I said, I'm not fussed about it either way. Hiccup is still Hiccup and Rapunzel is still Rapunzel.
