Fascinating. I've looked at a good handful of your works, and I must say, your style is eye-grabbing and highly memorable. Sort of like a... dark impressionism—historically, impressionism used light to create its effects; you seem to do the same thing, albeit with darkness and shadows (the "tendrils" of black you seem so fond of). Oddly enough, looking at your works reminds me of the (equally surreal) watercolors of Victor Hugo (the 19th century french novelist). Which is cool.
I'd love to see you do more landscapes and scenes, like "Boat", "House", "Galleon", and "Light" (congrats on the D.D.! ). I think your stylized treatment of darkness is especially effective and appreciable when you use it to create an emotional filter on "settings" such as the ones portrayed in the aforementioned works.
