Description Digital, Corel Painter

My only intention was to make something that would resemble a troll, but at the end I just thought it was too generic and boring and therefor I added the little duck which kinda adds some contrasting humor and lightness to piece. I'm happy with how the face and the legs of the troll turned out.

I like the face of it, too. It looks like it could be kind, if it wanted to. And I just feel sorry for the duck.

And it just occurred to me that many people seem to be drawing trolls with clubs as their weapons ... why not, say, chainsaws? Wouldn't that be somehow scarier?

Well, I think that usually trolls are described as being entities living in nature(or even as part of nature), and that it would require more intelligence than they posses to operate a chainsaw. This kind of troll is kinda mindless and not too philosofic. Think of it as a big shark on land, just look at the eyes and you'll get it.
It is a good idea though to make a more modern troll. Thanks!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I definitely think he could be a nice troll! Like I said, it's all in his face.

And yeah ... good point about them being in nature. One has to wonder, though, how an urban troll would look like.

In that phrase "nichts" means "not". In this context it is the german phrase for "not at all!" or better "you are welcome"!

I am so sorry, that I can't speak a little word in swedish. I know only a few words in norway, especially like "jordbærsyltetøyet" and "tusen takk", but I don't know if swedish people understand the norway language. To cut a long story short. Thank you for your german words

Ah, I see.

I think that norweigan people generally understand swedish better than vice versa. Reading norweigan is easier for me than hearing it and understandning it, because we have almost the same spelling for most words but the way they are spoken and combined are a bit different. "Jordbærsyltetøyet" would be jordgubbssylt(strawberryjam) in swedish.
