Redesigns of the two species of Eteiai - the Bagom on the left, and the Oumei on the right. The descriptions of each still stand firm, but the physiology has changed. These are both males from each species and they are about ready to brawl, given that Bagom and Oumei do not get along with each other in the least. More differences between Bagom and Oumei not previously stated include the time of day they're active - the Bagom is nocturnal and the Oumei is diurnal, for the most part; where they live - Oumei live in and around fresh water, the Bagom, salt; and how they reproduce - Bagom behave more like most sharks, using their claspers to impregnate the female, who will bear live young, where the Oumei are like salmon and other fish - either partner expelling eggs and sperm into the water, leaving the young to hatch some time after fertilization. The sexual differences of each species are as follows: male and female Bagom look almost exactly the same but the males have claspers like male sharks of Earth and the females are slightly bigger on average. Male Oumei are very colourful and flambouyant whereas the females are slightly smaller, much less colourful, being of pale pinks, browns and greens, and have less frilly fins as well, much like Earth's betta fish.
You can't see it, but the Bagom has another pair of eyes behind its 'hammer'. Both species of Eteiai (eh•TAY•ai) have three pairs of eyes. Eteiai have lungs and can seal off their gills so that they can walk comfortably on land. They need both water and air to survive though.
