I saw this on the cover of Tim Lebbon's Out of the Shadows, and got it based on the art alone. I love xenomorphs and I ended up loving the book as well, but it was the cover art that really got me. Glad to see it on here so I can appreciate it in more detail, it's a marvelous job you did here

H.R Giger is one of my favourite artists and this is absolutely amazing! How long did it take you to do this good? Any tips for a beginner?
It is nostalgic, brings me back to my GCSE's choosing to do H.R. Giger work for my GCSE - absolutely loved doing it!

While I am astonished by the level of detail in this picture: the drool, the inner scull, and (skin?) texture. I couldn't help but wonder about the asymmetry of the teeth. To me it looks rather strange that on the top jaw, the right side of the aliens jaw has two canines, and the left has only one. I also see asymmetries in the bottom jaw. Is there a particular reason for this?

if you look close enough, you can see that one of the teeth is missing from the bottem left side of the jaw and the top right sides canines well one of them is chipped off where the point should be. Hopefully if you take another look you will be able to see that.

I guess I just thought all the teeth where whole and didn't really think about the asymmetry as being because of broken teeth. Thank you for pointing that out to me.

awsome artwork. only critique is that this isn't a warrior it's a drone. warriors have more a rippled boney crest. watch Aliens 2 to see what i mean or play AVP extinction.
