Here is a modified group shot based on the first pass. I've added color to this one, changed Panthro's outfit and shrank WilyKit. I'm posting all this art by the way to get the word out on the show. We really need word of mouth advertising since we're not seeing much anywhere else. May 24th 9:30am! That's a Saturday, so break out your cereal boxes and blankets and park it in front of the Mother Box.Related content

As much as I love sexy-not-wearing-much-Cheetara's final realized concept design, this version for her makes more sense in the cheetah-animal-sense-of-things: super skinny with a few pronounced muscles and long limbs for running. I really love all the designs for the show though, it's a really sharp retelling of the series

Love the new designs and really love the new series (by the way i'm 40 now , so i was a huge fan of the original series and still am , along Silverhawks and yes , the very short lived Tigersharks and since the art stiles , stories and characters were so alike, I'm surprise nobody though of a crossover between the series, as a movie or a mini-series , now that ,i'm sure Everyone would Love to see) Sorry got carried away , on the current series , will there be any of the other thundercats joining the group (or new ones?) on later seasons and finally , will there any changes in Lion-O's look (don't take wrong ,i like the new look , but i think he should be older (aging) , the Book of Omens maybe? , Thanks for listening an old man rant a little , keep the great work and good luck on this and any other projects in the future , may there be many seasons of THUNDERCATS! HOOO!!

I think the new episodes will air on March 24th, not May 24th.
I'll see if I can post the announcement elsewhere, maybe on the New York Times or the Los Angeles Times.

Those costumes are wonderful, even if they aren't the ones that were chosen for the characters! How do you come up with costume design for cartoon characters? Do you have any tips?

I don't like the "shoes" on Cheetra because all I can see her getting her ankles twisted or broken. Other than that, everyone looks great.

nice! finally, been waiting to hear when season 2 is starting. i am having doubts about post6ing this cause i love your stuff so much. big fan for a long time!! love the art on the show, very cool. but the writing is a little on the bad side. does season 2 pick it up a notch. i sure hope so. i work in games and we would have about 5 or 6 guys sitting around watching the new episode each week. the art is great just wish the story gets a little better.

I remembered these clothes from the character sheets we were given when the show begin and I am happy to see them in color.
Cheetara's little super-Cheetara cape is lovely, and I think her pants look more comfortable than on the final design. The difference between Tygra and Lion-O is also more obvious. Lovely!

What made the crew of omens decide to make the Thunder Kittens younger after the first pass? Was it just WilyKit who was older at first?

Both we're older at first, but once we heard the casting.. The younger voices of Madaline and Eamon we're brilliant so we made them younger to fit the voices. For us, they just stole the show and it also took some of the darkness away by adding a bit more comedy.
