She was walking with confidence, cigarette in hand. When I approached her, she just stood there looking at me quizzically... until I realized she didn't speak english. I tried to act out me taking a picture of her. She finally said "do you speak chinese?" It was a canned response like how you would say "no hablo espanyol." I shook my head.. I kept trying to make her understand through action until she finally seemed to understand me. She looked for a place to put her cigarette down, I explained that I just wanted to take a head shot. She nodded, stood still, and posed. The whole encounter was quite worth it.Please check out my facebook page here: [link]

She's adorable, and I love the story that came with her. Me, I would probably have given up out of embarrassment after finding out she couldn't understand me.

Hey i was wondering why the photo looks odd and i just realized, it's the glasses! there is no reflection on them, it looks kind of strange.

The encounter sounded very fun! And it seems as if she might be wearing circle lenses? I find that interesting... I suppose people wear circle lenses in public, not just to photo shoots and whatnot.
