Description Here's a knife that I've made for one of the leadier-figgures and mother of our fighting Group, Zara. The blade is a san-mai three-layered with 1095 carbon steel in the middle and mild steel on the sides. The handle is made of layered birchbark from just outside, black leather and brass. The tang is peened to the bottom disk for maximum durability. It's thin and flexy and will hopefully serve Zara well during the long viking summers ^w^
The blade is loosely inspired by a small vining blade from around 900 ad.

As soon as I saw this beautiful knife on the dashboard, it screamed "scandinavian design" to me as I am a native swede Very nice viking knife, love the clean lines

The hilt is very nicely done, with the shapes giving it a neat artistic touch, while the blade is shiny, sharp, and certainly looking smooth. Excellent craftsmanship, which makes my kitchen assortment look like the cheap metal that it actually is.

The handle feels a bit like kork ^^ It's really comfy! Almost want to keep it for myself x3 But that's the curse of the knifemaker.
