I know! My parents, for example, hate everything having to do with gays, even though they've been going to church since before I was born... I just wonder how anyone with God in their lives can hate any person v.v

Wow, good luck with that! Try explaining to them that even if they believe being gay is a sin, jesus said that you shouldn't judge, and no-one has the right to condemn anyone else, because everyone sins!

Yeah.

Another thing I say to people is that you love someone for who they are, not what gender they are. Like if someone you loved got a sex change, they'd still be the same person underneath!

I support gay rights completely. What someone else chooses to do with their lives is not up to me, but them. As long as they do not directly harm me.

I'm non-religious and I attend a Christian school. If anything, any Christian who judges the LGBTIQ community is making a huge mistake, because according to their religion, it is God's job to do such a thing when final judgement arrives. This is the only part of the bible that I, personally, can take seriously. Because if you wish to worship and follow some being completely, shouldn't you listen to all its teachings and not just some of them?

Those aren't my personal views, but just what I've observed from taking a bible class every day.

Religion, as is most of things, is only as important to the person if they believe in a since of spirit or a higher power. However, if one lacks that need to connect to something they believe does not exist, then it is apparently up to the followers of god or gods, to try and "educate" them. However, most of the time it is an unwanted "enlightenment". As for most of the statistics in the pages you have listed, I believe that their information is faulty. I may be a bit too young to even be close to relatable in the statistics of sex and drugs. But I also choose not to partake in consumption of drugs since all of them are generally just worse for my health, and as for the sex portion of it, I'm not going to bars at night and picking up some hot chick to screw and be done with. I prefer to be with someone who cares. As for the therapy, it's just not healthy. If you think that homosexuality is a sin and "unhealthy" for the soul, then consider the emotional, mental, and possibly physical (if it gets that far) damage to the patient of this "mental illness/disease" or even a phase of judgment. As for the genetics, I still hold strong to that belief ( as you do to your god and the bible or whichever religion you are) that I was conceived with the codeing to have specific desires, especially since I've had no gay role models in my family, friends, or celebrities it is highly doubtful that I was influenced or nurtured to be a homosexual. As for the punishment of Sodom and Gomorrah, their sin was indeed that they would rape the angels. However, the definition of rape "back in the day" was much different than it is now. The definition was mainly similar to abuse. So they could technically "rape" their victim, but it would not necessarily mean that they were forcing intercourse on their angelic assholes. Their real sin however, was not "sodomy" (*cue the drums and cymbal*)but their in-hospitality to outsiders. Treat yourself as you would thy neighbor. And it was that sin that had occurred multiple times apparently in the story, which was why the angels were sent down to "inspect" the city.

It also brings to me a small little snippet of info that there are homosexuals who are connected to a religion. Some of them believe there is nothing wrong with them, some understand their sin but will do nothing to change it, some have attempted to change and some have "successfully" changed. I personally believe they just use it as an excuse to go back into the closet as a "normal" human being.

As for your argument on tolerance and how it seems you have been mistreated by previous members of the community I apologize on their behalf. It's more than unsettling to have a silly conflict over different forms of life, and when they contradict it just gets jumbled up into a humongous emotional bundle of crap. I personally see myself as tolerant to a majority of the communities I've become friends with that revolve around religion, and either or not I am damned to hell for my sins, or accepted as love is universal, it is all a matter of opinion.

True there is some cases where I am less than pleased with other cultures, steam punk for example. But I just learn to ignore it mainly, and if there is an interaction I merely just let them say their piece and walk away. I also prefer not to run with the Nazi crowd thank you. Hitler may have been gay, most likely bisexual, but there is a difference between Hitler and everyone. I would like to see myself no where near close to him. I don't blame the Jews for anything for any reason as for everyone else. It also seems a bit counter productive of Hitler to have multiple gay...encounters when he places a majority of them into camps with Jews, gypsy's, and multiple other bohemian cultures.

and as for your quote in the signature.

"The wrong shall fail, the right prevail!" there is a cloud of bias judgment on the saying since there are two sides to each argument. Both believe they are right, and the one that is, is not always or often the winner. It perhaps takes time for that to occur, maybe even years. But they do have one thing in common. They both believe they are right, even though that may not be so.

And please understand that I understand this feeling when it comes to what I have just stated. Perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps the genetics do not exist. Perhaps there is a god and I am damned. Perhaps I am as sick as a serial killer on death row. Perhaps.

But I suppose only time can tell.
