Description I've never liked Midori's Side Panel. I think it's hella ugly. So, this is my attempt to make it a little nicer looking.

Nice. I'm just wondering, is there any technical reason, why you use this ugly separator here on the right, while in files it is invisible?

Looks nice! And for those complaining,... as always, I assume this would be an optional feature, so you can disable it easily.

I wish I was able to contribute in some way to the elementary project... but I guess that my knowledge of C only isn't much helpful.

Yes, it's the same side panel that's already in Midori

Actually Midori is mostly C and it has a lot of bitesize bugs that we could use help with [link]

You can't really do anything to avoid that. Favorites, History Items, etc will fill up the whole panel. The only thing you could do is add a remove button next to every entry (which would be really annoying).

Well, this is the history tab. So, it clears the history.

Yea, I wish I could get them to just drop the side panel, but I can't. So I figure if can't get them to drop it, it could at least look a little nicer.

nice work.
but what about the tabs and the bookmarks bar? do they only show to the right of that panel? I think they should, like marlin. but will it still look good, specially the bookmark bar, with the handle between them?

DanRabbit In reply to zeeeeee [2011-12-11 17:57:58 +0000 UTC]

No, they currently show above the panel.

ok, in that case I don't know if the topbar (where the 3 icons are) should have that toolbar look, related to the toolbar above it, if it'll be eventually separated.
