Sooo the last time I picked up a pencil was in May
.I went through this massive breakdown of not knowing whether I wanted to carry on with art but I was pretty stressed over other stuff, went on holiday, come back, feel much better.
This is Thanatos, she's supposed to be the happy-go-lucky type but I'm not really in the mood for a happy picture so you can deal with mine/her mood swing
.I can't believe how many tries it took me to actually get this right. That's 4 whole pages, back and front, in my sketchbook that will probably go in the bin if I'm honest. Alas, I have spent all afternoon pushing myself to do something and I eventually got this and decided it was good enough to carry on with.
Trying a new colouring style and new paw style. Want a more realistic approach but keeping the black outline to make it stand out a little more.

Yeah, believe it or not but I did use dark greys and black for the colour but my scanner decided it needed some sunshine

Ah,I know how it is... Someday our scanners will burn our characters with excessive sunlight lol,even for Sunrise. That's why I'm suffering trying to upload 4 deviations... I have a LATE b-day gift for someone to upload,but my scanner want the person to get mad with me. Okay,she won't,but I will with my scanner.

Mine just hates light colours... Bit annoying when so many people have light coloured characters these days. They're either white, off-white or some kind of pastel colour.

My art is just so horrible thanks to my scanner... But no on ever understand or think about the scanner,so I already got a few comments saying like"Oh,the character is too dark/light!" or "Did something happen you drew it? There's a blur!"...

Many times I've already seen those "5 min" drawings or "sketches made in school" in a good picture get even more attention than works where people put effort.

I don't always believe people when they say it was a 'quick sketch'. Some of them just have way too much detail in them for it to be a little doodle. I reckon people just say it was a quick sketch so people will be all like "Oh wow you did that in just 5 minutes!?!? You're amazing!!!".

Yes,that's it too. Well,maybe why a professional could do some "simple" things in 5 mins as these people may take some time to it and say it was made in 5 min.
Like,even I could get a drawing of mine without many colors and say it was made in 5 min,as if I were a professional so,haha. Well,until I improve as I should be today,I had a large delay in my art life. xD
And yep,some have many details and all,so aren't just a little doodle. I do like these,them are cool! But just don't those really simple ones.

To me, you can't do something that detailed in '5 minutes' you've at least got to have spent around 20 minutes on it to get in some of the detail I've seen on some drawings like that.
