This has been one HELL of a year.SO for background for those who don't know me too well. I've only been doing digital art for a year and a few months. Joined August 2010 knowing NOTHING about how to digital color or anything.
Oh boy did that change.
This meme captures the moment from when my art started gaining velocity to now. In this time period I went from somewhat mediocre to... well this. Not bad for my first year. I am a sonic-related artist so big deal, but I entered the fandom as it was losing momentum, but I still got a LOT done. Starting off as just an RP noob to what you see here.
Huge case of whiplash.
Anyway, I selected my favorites from each month to include in this. I've learned alot and (while it may not be too evident on this) I pretty much went form not knowing what the bucket tool was or how to change brush opacity to ... well see for yourself.
Thanks guys for the support and such through this year (as I've just topped the 1500 mark as of recent) and that says alot about the impact so far.
Let's keep this up, shall we?

I love your work Dan, i've been watching you from August too, from the first pick you put on this meme , i was quite impressed, and i joined the community directly drawing a few months after too, always u being an inspiration XD why? it's because you learned all of this awesome stuff by yourself and quite fast, i don't have a tablet but watching u made me save money and still saving XD LOL. I congratulate you, and have to say thanks for all this shiny art you draw!!!

You are on a long winning streak with your art. It's captivating and crisp. My only question is where was your drawing skills before you learned to color? well considering this was my first year with digital art, my skills with anything computer assisted is fairly new.
However I did acrylic landscapes for 8 years.

iv been doing digital for about as long as you maybe a little longer and i envy you
it may have been one hell of a year but i guess thats how it is for one hell of an artist i think my faves here are April May and July

So now that you've come this far (and far indeed haha, great job c: ), do you plan on trying different styles of coloring? I'd really love to see you try out a painting style! It would be very challenging to work with as well.
