- Impulsive | Arrogant | Stubborn | Impatient

Roshan is someone who puts his heart into everything he does, so much that he tries to be the enthusiastic person who encourages everyone to do their best as well. His enthusiasm also helps him in his productivity as he is someone who will make sure to get a job done the more he puts himself into the task. With much optimism in his being, it's easy for him to look at the bright side of things and see hope in places people otherwise wouldn't, and as a loyal brother and friend, you can be sure he'll have your back and support those most important to him.

Roshan can also be an energetic friend, though it depends on most situations on whether this is a good thing or not as others occasionally might find it difficult to follow him at times. He can also be pretty frank with information by saying things as they are rather than beat around the bush, which can be fine until people's feelings come into question. And with a strong opinion, when he deeply believes in something, he will strive to defend his ideals and what he thinks is right, though this can be troublesome when he's the wrong person in the discussion.

In turn, with so much energy in him, he can come off as a bit impulsive, more or less doing things on mere whims. He can also be a bit arrogant at times since he wants to be the best at what he does and to impress his peers with his skills. Though his stubbornness has gotten him to where he is now, many times in the past it managed to hurt or get him in trouble, especially when he settles to not do something. Lastly, with how much he strives for his goals and intentions, it can get a little hard for him to wait for others, namely when they don't have the right energy and drive to match his own.

*History:
Heeey how's it going! If you've seen my sis' letter, you guys should already know I have intentions to accompany my sibling, Amaris Majjada in migrating to Umeojin. If you haven't... Well, now you know!

But just a little background on us- or me in specific: We come from a pretty wealthy family of merchants from Ekialdean, known for travelling from place to place and dabbling mostly with fabrics and the like. My parents have been expecting me to follow after our father and become a prolific merchant too since I'm their only son, though unfortunately for them I've been more interested in the travelling part of being a merchant rather than the business side of things, especially if we're talking expeditions and all out adventures and the like. Besides, I really think my sister is better built for working with fabrics and profiting them, so why would I try to steal her thunder? With that being said, I've actually been studying other things outside of being a merchant instead, like... How to survive in the wilderness, or several self defense techniques- hell, if you want to know some basic first aid stuff, I might know a thing or two about that as well! Learned all these things just in case I ever get to become the adventurer I always wanted to be, so you can't even imagine how excited I got the moment I found out that you guys are offering the chance to explore and clear out dangerous places on your island. It's literally and figuratively got adventure written all over it; of course I needed to jump at that opportunity! Makes it all even better that my sister can come along with me to do her own things on the island too. Sure, we'll have different jobs, but we can always find times to hang out and probably meet new people along the way. Overall, I'm definitely looking forward to calling this place our new home when the time comes.

Full History:
Roshan was born to a family of wealthy merchants as the second child and only son, and due to the family's very traditional views, early on Roshan's parents already settled on the idea that he would be the one to carry on the family name and expand the business once he was old enough. In order to help instill the want to join his father in his business ventures, every time his father returned home from his travels, he would make sure to bring home a gift for his kids as a sort of glimpse of the world outside of their home and the sights he was used to seeing. Initially the plan mostly worked; already as a young boy Roshan would voice his curiosity in his father's travels each time he would have to go off once again, however Roshan's interests would change altogether the day his father gifted him a carved knife hailing from the other mainland. It somehow sparked something in his mind that made him settle on the idea of one day travelling more for the sake of exploration and going on journeys rather than to sell fabrics, and he wouldn't let go of this idea since then.

Growing up as the only boy in the family allowed him some early tastes into adventuring even if it was as simple as being able to step away from home on his own. Doing so allowed him to meet other young children his age, and with the few stories and games he made up with them along the way, he'd always come home excited to share whatever he learned with his older sister, Amaris, whom he loved very much. In a way he was trying to copy how their father would bring gifts from his travels, except in this case he was doing it through storytelling. However, over time his sister would instead treat him negatively the more he did this, and it confused him greatly. He only wanted to let her join him in his adventures by telling them. Their mother wouldn't let her outside after all, so it was the least he could do to let her in on what made him happy. Eventually the two siblings would grow distant due to this, each of them more or less having their own separate lives almost.

When Roshan had grown enough to be considered able bodied, his father would begin to allow him into his smaller business ventures near their hometown, and though he was very excited to join him the first while, Roshan slowly grew bored as his father wouldn't let him go further than their city, and he proved to struggle in the business aspect of things, not really showing much intellect to help support the tasks needed for it. This would cause some conflict between him and his father, especially when he started to compare him to his sister who instead excelled in what he wasn't good at. Though his father mostly did this in order to inspire him to do better, this instead would start to build inside him resentment towards her. All the more when Amaris suddenly tried teaching him how to survive the business ventures better, he eventually lashed out at her, not at all understanding why she was suddenly being kind to him now when all that time before she ignored him whenever he wanted to get close to her.

Slowly as the siblings aged, Roshan became more decisive as to what he wanted to do with himself, so after getting his parents' permission, he began seeking out teachers who would teach him how to be a better traveler, disguising it as a means to do business ventures on his own when he just simply wanted to be able to go on journeys worth telling others. When he wasn't being trained by teachers, he was still begrudgingly joining his father around home. Much thanks to one of their ventures though, he came across information of Umeojin when his father voiced potentially expanding their business to the island one day. Looking for more information on the place, it was then that he found about the adventurers Job openings among other amenities they needed.

The idea of going to the island stuck with him silently for a while up until he had a one on one talk with his sister following a fight he didn't see happen between her and their parents. In this talk she revealed their family's intention to marry her off to a suitor, and the more the two opened up to each other about how their family had been treating them, Roshan and Amaris further connected with each other and realized they both were going to be forced to live lives they didn't want. It was then he told her of Umeojin and the life it could offer to the both of them, so from there they began to make plans in order to voice their intentions to migrate and how they were going to win their parents over. It would take a while before the two finally convinced their parents to let them go namely by using the fact the island was now accepting cloth trade and tailors as the biggest point of interest, allowing them to do what their father had been intending to do on his behalf. Now closer than ever and with their goals set in their minds, the two prepared and made their way to the island to finally start their own lives on their accord and call this place their new home.

*Reason for Boarding: Well, I get to be an adventurer is an obvious one! It's got all the stuff I've been wanting to do since I was a kid... I mean, it's better than having your parents force you to be something you're not, right? ...Ahaha. But I digress. On the other hand, I can't just let my sister come to the island to expand the family business alone. She's definitely going to miss me too much or get homesick without me. Besides, someone has to watch her back, and I like knowing she's got my back too.

Trivia:
- When going on adventures, at most he will carry 2 wepons with him at a time with a back up dagger attached to him. His current set of weapons include a spear, a shield, a khopesh and dagger. He will mix and match between his three main weapons depending on the situation he's going into.
- Though he tends to be an idiot when it comes to being a merchant, thankfully his exposure to so much fabric has given him a pretty good fashion sense and understanding of what high quality should look like.
- Really wants to make some animal friends some day.
- Roshan is actually very fond of applying first aid and has a vague interest in medical practices despite knowing he can probably never be a full on doctor.
- [More TBA!]

Joining this group with maacchan ! We came across UI while casually looking through dA. Had a couple of ideas floating around for what to do with our kids, but we decided to go for a sibling duo.
Really excited to get to know everyone and to see where things go!
