lol, Anderson is loyal and obedient to the Pope like a dog but Alucard whereas he enjoys Integra's company only comes when he is bored and needs a job to do...(much like a cat when he only comes to be fed) So I guess behavioral wise they do resemeble that of a dog and cat.

In the original HELLSING Manga, there is no setting that Anderson has speaking with a local accent.
In the Manga of the English translation version, it seems to have taken a scottish dialect of Mr. brand who is performing Anderson's voice. ^^

Yer, I know. I guess I just became accustomed to it, but I have to say, the raw Japanese version has better performers. Anderson sounds weird in the english dubbed OVA. xD

Wakamoto who is performing the father Anderson in a Japanese version is famous because it speaks by a strange intonation.
Most fans burst out laughing hearing father's dialog when OVA was seen for the first time.
However, Wakamoto is popular.
