I noticed that Rogue contains the lowest amount of black shading. Was this a conscious decision, perhaps to make her appear the softer of the three?

No, I did not.
I put together a few rough compositions for it, but I'm still working out the design. However, since I am getting back into the groove of things, I'd hope to get it done soon.
