Description Well, I think I found the best way to get myself into the red zone as a planeswalker.

The loyalty counters will stay in place when it transforms.

2nd ability is just for the lulz.

Will update with the proper template once I can find it.

I would have it cost 2RBG if youre looking at it from a design perspective, but very cool card i like it alot

Oh it'd definitely be 2brg if following the design guidelines. Snow mana's not supposed to appear in converted mana costs. But this is unofficial so I do what I want!

Though I think it's about time to make a new version that drops the 0 ability for "can be your commander". And maybe add hexproof to hunter form.

I dunno, i really like it the way it is, from a design perspective the only thing i might do is start it at 3 loyalty

Hey! It's me again!
Notes: CMC 5, triple color PW that requires Snow.

+2: Turns into a 5/5 with evasion that can be hit with every form of black removal under the sun; he now has Gideon's weakness as well! More interestingly, he also dies to other sizeable flyers, unlike Gideon who simply stomps titans. I like this form.

0: You could remove this ability from the PW and the quality of the PW would not change. That is, this ability is unnecessary. As such, design principles strongly suggest the removal of this ability.

-2: More vindicate? Given that he has snow mana in his cost, you might want to limit him to something like non-snow, non-basic if you really want to give him the ability to shoot something like Kessig Wolf Run. I just don't like the lack of restrictions on the vindicate ability; but the symmetry of the costs works out now that Dakkath can be shot when he's a creature. Heck, brimstone volley can do it.

-7: PLAGUE WIND! Essentially. I am ok with this.

This version is much better than the last one; the planeswalker is still very aggressively costed, but has a distinctly less well-protected feel to it. I would still watch him to ensure that he's still not TOO aggressive here, especially since you're still sitting on the whole: attack for 5, vindicate, attack for 5, vindicate... turn sequence.

I will admit, however, to gravely disliking transform cards. On the other hand, this card uses the transform mechanic to brilliant effect. Much more so than Garruk Relentless in my book.
Also, requiring snow mana in his casting cost seems rather arbitrary. Why is it there?

One final note:
Filly Scratch is best Scratch

I think I'll respond to your comments in reverse order

I dunno if filly Scratch is Best, there are a lot of goof FanFics of adult Scratch. Filly is WAY cuter though And the comic this is from is just hilariously adorable.

The snow mana is fairly arbitrary. Basically, I didn't like the balance 3 way color blend, so I decided to add a 4th. This card doesn't seem very white to me, and blue is right out. But, I stumbled on using artifact in the planeswalker scheme makes that nice colorless section. And I did love snow cards when coldsnap was around.

I'm pretty meh on dual-siders also, but it's much cleaner than trying to use a flip card.

I see your concern over alternating those two abilities. If I had access to this card for real, I'd be FAR more likely to try: Swing 5, Swing 5, BEWM!, Lightning Bolt, GG. But if it is too powerful, I might consider going with a +1 and reworking the numbers on the ultimate.

I like to think of it as Flame Waves for everyone I'm trying to annihilate.

Yeah, probably going to be nonbasic permanent in the next revision.

I'll admit the anti-counter ability is the bag of chips to the rest's all that. I just HATE blue with a passion. But now that I consider how broken Jace TMS was with his seemingly harmless 0, I'll probably drop this again.

Well, he could have been nuked with a lot of white removal and a decent amount of red in the old version, but now black does nuke him more easily. Still the same size, and I'm fairly certain he didn't have trample in the last incarnation. The real advantage to doing it this way is simplicity. As an animated creature planeswalker you'd have to track damage twice, once for toughness and once for loyalty counters. This is much simpler, one or the other.

CMC 5 w/ 3 colors feels about right for a Mythic 5/5 legendary dragon. Really, the snow is almost like half a 4th color. 3.5 colors... maybe I should've waited until it's not 4am to respond.

Gonna download the dual-sided template they have so far, I can splice the pics of an untransformed PW with a transformed creature if I need to.

Make sure to say "Dakkath, Hunter Aspect is green."

The new dual-sided cards have a special color indicator, I'll update to that format once the templates come out.
