So, I've not drawn anything in *ahem* some time *ahem*, but I had a bit of new episode inspiration last week.I figured it'd give some shippers some wriggle room. But having got half way through it did occur to me that there's a slight implication of sexual abuse, err, it was just meant to be a Men in Black joke...
The GIF is lossy and I'm not super pleased, but the APNG last time was rather a flop.

One could combine this with "50 first dates" - maybe Lyra comes after her again and again, so they have to repeat this routine all the time.
I like how it explains how they can be lovers and also BFFs.
This could be a Thing with a series of stories, even:
- "The 50 first friendships" - Bonbon is determined to avoid or remove any close friendships in her new assignment, but a certain green unicorn keeps making friends with her again and again.
-"Secret Service Lyra" - Lyra finds a spy set with a letter about a new job while Bonbon is away on a task for the Cakes, and decides to step in her shoes and do it herself.
-"The Derpy Syndrome" - Catastrophe ensues for the Bons and the Whooveses when the Neuralizer and the Sonic Screwdriver accidentally get swapped.
-"Conspiracy Roughness" - Bonbon struggles with keeping the truth hidden, when Lyra's lost memories manifests themselves in dreams and conspiracy theories, and she becomes Ponyville's celebrity prophet. Can Bonbon survive when the entire town is looking for secrets?

It's really quite wrong on many levels, psychological and ultimately on a social level, to screw intentionally with people's heads, and in my moral system erasing somebody's memories of anything, especially something as large as a secret organization, is one of the worst crimes I could think of. I like my memory; I'm actually kind of terrified of forgetting stuff. I also dislike secrets, and more importantly people keeping secrets from me that massively effect my life, or damaging memories with the explicit purpose of getting them out of trouble or escaping consequences for what they've done.
I can't help but feel as though, as mentioned in the MiB movie, that the reason people would panic if aliens ever became known to humanity at large, is because they'd be rioting in the streets and attacking the governments for trying to keep the secret from them. It wouldn't end well because people would be furious that such a massive conspiracy was going on, and that they were potentially missing massive portions of their lives.
All of this stems primarily from the fact that from what I understand of a person and an individual, memories are one of the most important things to a person. Experiences and stuff you've done shape who you are; they influence how you behave, what you like or dislike, what you know is true and not, and what experiences you'll go through in the future. Erasing and permanently forcing somebody to forget something is tantamount to killing off even just an insignificant fraction of them, and may end up damaging their life, especially if whatever was lost would effect them in a major way.
There's also the rampant potential for abuse by any agent with a less-than-straight head.
