Description Okay, so I drew Shoroki again. This time, he is showing his occupation. I think I draw dragons better than lions as you can see here in this picture. I added the tattoos to hide the poor quality of the lion's face.lol

I know, I am still working on the other art trades. It shouldn't take this long for them. However, it is, because of my time-consuming thinking.X3

Also, this particular picture is a part of my art teacher's assignments. This one is "Half Man, Half Beast". I have an optical art one with the snake and the fist, and I have a surrealism one that I might upload (I think it sucks X3).

-Done with mechanical graphite pencil, and some generic brand of markers for the inking and stippling.X3
Photoshop 7.0 was only used to fix up the darkness of the picture and to clean up the dirty, permanent pencil marks.

Shoroki is (c) to .

awesomely cool!

ohh...I'm in love with him [or Tosei XD can't decide!] he looks like a dark magician or something

and both the dragon and the lion looks amazing I can't draw a decent-looking animal...so they look pretty darn good to me!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it, even the lion.X3

lol Thanks again!^^ I know what you mean. Yep, he's like some sort or sorcerer or magician.

I bet you could draw a decent animal. For now, start with refs (like I should have XD) and become familiar with them. Then, draw them a lot until you improve(you'll see the progress you've made from the previous drawings).^.^

so...is he a magician or not?
whatever his job is, he looks hawt. yes. :3

even my own cats were shocked to hear me drawing animals! [because my first victims would probably be either one of them ] can I find good refs on google? or...can you recommend another site?

>w< That's right!X3

Yes, Google is a great site for finding refs. However, sometimes, other search engines may have different results. You can also try yahoo!, ask, or even dogpile if you like, as well.

could u help me?

Dark-Spectrum In reply to sweetblood531 [2009-03-18 23:45:03 +0000 UTC]

Umm, I don't know if I could because I'm still learning how to use the program myself.X3 I know only some things, though.

You can use the burn tool to darken your pictures and the dodge tool to lighten them up.

The layers are used for adding whatever effects or colors, etc. you want. Just make sure to name each layer when working with more than one so you'll know where you're working.

If you want to color a picture, drag the picture to the top of all the other layers and set the layer options to multiply. Also, you can put another layer above the picture if you want to color over it.

Um, the lasso tool is for freely selecting parts of a picture and to move it, you use the move icon that looks like a mouse cursor with a plus.

It's complicated, yes, but you'll get it eventually. There are some tutorials on dA for the more complicated stuff, like using the pen tool and stuff. I hope I helped you though!

I love that dragon xD
So his occupation is something magical?
Your stibbling is so much better than mine .w.

Dark-Spectrum In reply to LadyFatality [2009-03-18 23:17:49 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! I know, it's one of the best things on here.XD

Yep, he's like a sorcerer.^^

Thank you! I just ignored the rules and used different sized markers for the stippling. Also, used regular linearting on my other one, so I used it here, too. Try it out for yourself and see what results from it.(Oh, it's "stippling" not "stibbling". We've been taught wrong. I looked it up in the dictionary just to be sure.lol)

Yep. Your welcome.

[I knew it was one of those but I read stibbling in your description so I thought that was the wrong on I was too lazy to look it up] I might, if I ever get it finished now. .w.;

lol I was also lazy. I had to change the description again because of that error some time ago.
I'm catching a lot of my mistakes checking back on my artist's comments.XD
