Description Week 54: Reunited.

Went for a little bit of dark here. Kinda sad... I need to paint something happy now... Working on the Mane 6 ACEO's though!

I don't think it'll happen. Has the show even stated that ALL alicorns are immortal? Otherwise, Cadance wouldn't have married him. Maybe she'll grow old and die with him.

Then again, death is a very sensitive topic, especially for a children's show.

Cadence wasn't originally designed as an alicorn, she probably was a regular unicorn like Prince Blueblood and thus wouldn't have been a regular mortal pony, but she was changed into an alicorn after Faust left. They probably didn't think through ALL the implications this change would've had cause this is a show mainly aimed for kids and kids don't think this thoroughly about it, thus leaving this fridge horror for the older viewers.

She might not be immortal. Remember how she aged when looking after twilight? Wouldn't an immortal creature have a slow teenage/childhood as opposed to one that happens at the same rate as a mortal? She might not have immortality, albeit being a unicorn. Juts some food for thought.

But they broke Faust's original canon which Celestia and Luna were the only alicorn, Cadance wasn't meant to be an alicorn but they changed it after Faust left and probably decided to defy more or the established canon (alicorn = immortal, or at least longevity) just so they didn't have to rewrite everything.
