I saw couple of commission works of this boy before... wow never thought I will get a chance to draw him.
Lemme say: He's super fun to draw! I mean smirky boys are yum!

Who knows drawing cards will give much pleasure LOL
and thank god the BG didn't took forever...
working on this really reminds me of the time when I make a final work for my internship office back in 2015, with night cityscape in the background, I did use some same tricks like that time
I hope you will like how this turned out, hopefully I didn't butcher him too much--

ah I used Photoshop CS5 and Wacom Intuos 5 for this-- well actually for all of my works here, I use those

it's easy to use from my point of view. lots of people also recommend paint tool sai to draw digitally, the brush settings are great there

Maybe I'll look into them, I'm using clip studio heart it's not hard but there is just so much to it I still don't know.

ah! and I actually always colouring the background first, for me.. blend the character's colours into the finished background are much more easier than blending the BG to chara's colours
