Description
Finally I was able to finish it! This is for 's fanfic "Avatar: Sacrifice Love & Destiny," a Zutara fanfic. This is based on one of the scenes and if you want to find out why the hell are Aang, Katara and Zuko on the same bed, you'll have to read to find out...and no, it's not a threesome.Aang, Katara and Zuko belong to Mike, Brian and Nickelodeon.

Forgive the butting-in, but....
Iroh summed it up. Perfection and power are overrated. 
No Aang-hating. He was twelve years old, he was terrified of the truth. Had he stayed, he would have been killed, anyway--he would not have had time to master firebending before Sozin struck, and if he tried to use the Avatar State, he could have been killed and the cycle would have been broken and it all would have been over.
So please, keep going, I love a good debate.

well for once, If he doesn't get serious he is not gonna be able to master the 4 elements before Sozin's comet arrives.

He's serious enough.
Besides, if he drills himself too hard, there's nothing left for him in the end. He's doing it his way--he's mastered airbending, mastered waterbending (not quite to the level of Katara, but....), become very proficient in earthbending, and now needs to get his butt moving with firebending. That's the one he's really going to need, because if Sozin's comet gets here....well, anyone can harness that comet's power, but they need to know how to firebend.
Of course, then again, the comet may boost ALL of his power...if it is a true comet, then it is made up of ice and rock, which burns when it enters the atmosphere or passes by, and who knows what it might do with air....but then again, maybe only firebenders can harness its power. Who knows?
Aang's doing fine. All we know is that the Avatar State isn't the ultimate answer. All it does it lets you get smacked in the back by a lightning bolt...quick thinking on Azula's part.

he is not serious enough, he hasn't really mastered water bending, I think that he actually is better in earthbending right now that at water bending. and what I will tell is that he is maturing.....sort of. and the avatar state would be a very good option if he wants to stop the firelord.

The Avatar State is when he is at his most vulnerable. If he masters the other few elements as he has before, he should be able to win. Or if he can't, he should be able to win with Toph, Katara, Sokka, and Zuko. Of course, he's going to have to get Zuko to be his friend or at least ally. Iroh might be of assistance, too....
The Avatar State is brute power. I'm not sure what would happen were he in complete control, but he might be able to do everything even when in regular form. He's proven himself to be very powerful with all of the forms of bending.
He's definitely mastered water...he has the reflexes of a waterbending master, according to Katara, and he's done plenty of stuff with it. He's just not quite as proficient as Katara in that. But Katara's a prodigy, just like Azula, if not more so (let's not forget who won in their little one-on-one 
It's all in the hands of the creators and season 3.

eventually he would get zuko to be his ally. we can all see that. the avatar state is brute power when he is not able to control it. zuko is not a prodigy and he did beat katara. you know the season 2 ending was weird katara beats Azula who beats aang who beats zuko who beats katara.

Zuko didn't beat Katara there....
He and Azula did it, together.
Katara > Azula
Katara > Zuko
Katara < Azula + Zuko
Aang seemed to be greater than or equal to the two of them....maybe less then or equal to Azula.
Zuko only beat Katara in the first season because she was still new to the master thing and the sun came up.
Zuko might not be Aang's ally....you never know how things will turn out. Probably will, but....maybe his fight will be completely different.
