Description
A German marksman displaces after firing a couple of shots at approaching allied soldiers. The Americans will be hardpressed to take the cross-roads town of Venier as long as this sniper remains able to relocate freely within the area.-
Another paintchat doodle based on a little game I played.

Yeah, he's Waffen-SS. I forgot to do the markings on his collar piece... I shoulda given him a camo cover for his helmet too. Ah well

lol yeah I was noticing that no SS marking on the colar..Ummm..I thought most had hoods on? for camo? I don't know I just remebered seeing a few SS Snipers with hoods.

He looks like a squirrily little fellow,
and great job on the Zeltban(spelling?) camoflauge, the colors and look very accurate, although the pattern looks a bit spaced out, but it doesnt even detract from the peice.
Are you ever planning on doing any WWI based art?

Heh, thanks for the compliments. I never know how much is 'enough' when it comes to applying camoflauge
As for WWI based art, I may be tempted to do a picture or two, provided I get the right inspiration. I should go out and rent a movie or something, perhaps that one about the Australian Light Cavalry starring Mel Gibson. WWI based movies and games are particularly rare these days.

*All quiet on the Western Front - 1930 version & 1979 version
*Gallipoli - The same one you mentioned with Mel Gibson.
*The Lost Battalion - A great film about Major Whittlseys advance through the German lines into the Argonne forest.
And a WWI 'horror' movie called DeathWatch, pretty interesting film.

Yup yup, and that's exactly what happened too. He ran out of ammo, and then was overrun by about 13 angry GIs. Ah, it felt so good when I finally took him out too since I lost 2 halftracks and about 8 guys trying to get him.
And if you're wondering about how I lost the halftracks, I got careless and sent them roaring around to cut off the sniper's line of retreat and ended up running into a Pak38 AT gun. So, the sniper had indirectly assissted in killing my 2 halftracks

didn't you have artillery support? i like to make enemy snipers blow, anyway. grenades, rocket launchers, 88s, tanks, artillery, bombing runs... may i continue?
