It was the year 2067 when tensions and hostilities among the world's many governments boiled over. Borders closed, trade routes were severed and slowly nations dissolved into withered husks of the former glory of the world. After sixty years of civil wars and anarchy, the lines of communications started to reopen. Bands of survivors began to pool their resources and started to rebuild the world to a livable state.

Jesse Mathews and Desta Scofield had the good fortune of being born into a traveling merchant caravan. Constantly moving along the roads and trails between settlements and scavenging the old world relics to survive. At a young age the girls quickly became friends and were soon an inseparable pair. Trusting one another in the most dangerous situations, the dusty trails of the trade circuit lost their appeal and the girls desperately wanted to see more of the world. Together they decided to leave their tight knit band of merchants and friends and enlisted for citizenship of the United Territories.

Through intense training and many dangerous assignments they became the best operators in the Technical Reconnaissance Division. Jesse's uncanny ability to rapidly analyze any situation and perform with scrupulous precision under stress earned her a rank of lieutenant. Desta's stealth, mechanical intelligence, and computer skills landed her a rank of Operations Specialist. Together they're an unbeatable pair and their Operations Chief does not assign one without the other.
