Alex (darkhunter2009) has shown a stunning display of camera angles and use of lighting to make POWER a very powerful piece. I am happy to critique this photo-masterpiece. It is also evident that the model worked very well with Alex...comfortable but a forward stance, making him just as much the focal point as the lamp post and atmospheric sky above him. Apparently, we the viewers are lead from top to bottom of this visionary shot. Is George Taylor (the model) waiting for someone to meet him at that lamp post? Or is he awaiting to take the electricity right out of the lantern? I am also impressed at how Alex has almost found the perfect backdrop to outline the study...the trees are perfectly in line with George making this a very technically authentic work of art. Lastly, I know this is one of Alex's best works...he himself shows his accomplished prowess of POWER by displaying it with a triple border. 5 STAR BRAVO and FAVED.

Really dramatic, the angle works really well and the lighting is AMAZING. You've got some good contrast there..you edited it really well. George looks fantastic, I bet he's really happy to have such a stunning picture of himself..it could honestly be used in a model portfolio because you are drawn to him before you are lead to the swirling tumult of the sky by the lamp post. Great placement.

I want to see your camera! What did you do with your old one? I've never seen you in action.

Then again, you haven't seen mine..I just don't trust bringing it in with me I guess. I should one day

I was going to say it should be his profile..then looked just in case it already was XD

Haha, no need, I wouldn't comment if I didn't think it was amazing and it wasn't true... I'm far too lazy for that

But not as pretty as the pictures it takes eh? My camera is my baby, but the photos are the real treasures... I only have a couple of lenses, but I usually only stick to the one anyway, I don't really use my macro lens often. I think you can get plenty out of basic lenses.

Trust you to make that sound bad lol. Haha, you can certainly try, but good luck getting any good ones!

Pentax. I just worry something will happen to it, like the lens cap will come off and it'll get scratched or my bag will fall off a table with it in or something silly XD I might bring it in tomorrow though since I'm going into town, see if I can relax and take some pictures (looking like a tourist I'm sure XD)

Exactly XD

OMG?! never knew you were so serious about photography ...
What Lenses you got? (need spec ) also what model Pentax have you got?!!?

I don't want plenty of basics I want proper GOOD £400 lenses

haha we will arrange something

haha don't ever worry about things like that happening to your camera xD
Seriously those things are tough !! watch this video >> [link]

Are you serious? XD I love it! Really makes me relax for one... Hon, I was also into it wayy before you, remember?

Pentax K-m, with an 18-55 lens and a 50-200 lens
Not much, but they serve me well ^^
Good luck getting the money for them

Yeah, alright then

Ahhh! How could he do that to those poor, innocent cameras!
I DO worry though...having said that i've dropped my phone enough times to know they're solid. Tbf it's mostly the lenses i worry about, not the body.

Yeah what are the lenses ? are they just standard kit ? Well i know the 18-55 is standard kit lens but what about the 50-200 ? What the f? and what make ? xD

I'm talking serious stuff here devon xD like i have standard 18-55mm Nikkor f/5.6 G , 18-105mm Nikkor f3.5-5.3 G and also a 70-300 mmm F/4 Nikkor < (old one ) xD

haha the lenes are tough don't worry

Pandeamonia In reply to darkHunTer2009 [2011-03-29 20:31:19 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, the 18-55 is standard kit. I bought the 50-200 separately, but it is a Pentax lens: Pentax 50-200mm f4-5.6.

I find it doesn't work so well with my autofocus though, which sucks when I'm in a 'take-lots-of-pictures-at-once' mood.

Well, what do you want? Your range isn't too bad there already

Lol, if you say so

darkHunTer2009 In reply to Pandeamonia [2011-03-29 21:07:24 +0000 UTC]

ooo the 50-200 sounds pretty sweet

Yeah it wouldn't auto focus that quickly ... that's why you use manual focus

haha because it's not about the range ... it about the quality

Pandeamonia In reply to darkHunTer2009 [2011-03-29 21:32:49 +0000 UTC]

It's good for zoom Yet not for macro..I should get a lens more suited to that.

Ehh, I see you're more of a set it up and organise it photographer...I kinda just like to see where it takes me and snap away and try lots of different things one after the other and all at once lol..I'm more handsy than using tripods and remotes...as much as I'd like a remote XD

I'm not a setty up person I just know that with some things you need a tripod otherwise you can't make the shot
