I'm proud of this one. I tried a technique that didn't wro out as I planned but I feel like I made it work.
X3 behold the simple background.
GUESS WHAT!? That game table took me a little over 4 hours to do. It's actually very elaborate. And this is the simplified version!!
I'll post the complex version as it is an art piece in itself.

I do like the perspective of that boardgame. Nice attention to detail.
Watch your linework, though. It's starting to look a little clunky. You may want to start softening up your lines, or at least make them less contrasting.

No no, it's always best to start with lineart. It gives you a basis for painting and sets the themes for the rest of the picture. Lesson learnt.
