It was brought to my attention by that the colors did not quite go together, so I consulted a color guide and was able to change the background. Hopefully it's more pleasant to the eyes. 83

I chose the colors carefully, I didn't expect her to have a ridiculously bright pink sweater (though I'm sure she has one) but instead give her a sort of Fall-ish one that I'd think she'd wear.
The face on it was just an idea I had from the beginning. XD

To be honest, it's the blue you used for the circle. The cyan blue of her eyes compliments the pale orange of her fur and the green of her ribbon compliments the magenta of her jumper... But the blue looks like an after thought. It probably would've worked if you'd saturated it more. But as it is, it clashes with her jumper.
I find the best way to draw expressions is to get a mirror and see your own face making the expressions.

Well, the blue was KINDA an afterthought. But at the same time I guess I was sorta trying to clash on purpose?....I dono, I figured it'd show more or something. But also I thought something about her eyes....once again. I dono.
I hadn't actually thought of the colors complimenting each other ; that is definitely something to take into consideration.
I was gonna do orange but I didn't. I dono if it would've looked good. :/

Nnnn, you want attention drawn towards the figure in the foreground. A softer blue would've done that.
Orange would've also been good, but once again it would have had to have been saturated to draw attention to Lexi.
