Bio:
Bruce was raised in an abusive household, often being beaten by his Mother. His Father was a scientist, but was submissive when it came to protecting his child, and often turned away from helping his son. Instead, the time he spent with Bruce was when he would inject him with strange serums of glowing liquids.

After Bruce had gone to University and moved out from his Mother's grasp, his parents ended up in a tragic car accident and both died. Bruce went to their house to clean it out, and discovered his Father's work that he'd worked on all his life. It turned out he was trying to recreate the Super-Soldier serum from WWII, and that gamma radiation may have been the key. Bruce took the files and all the data his Father had gathered throughout his life, and began to carry on his research [1].

Whilst experimenting with the gamma radiation at a military research center, another scientist named Dr. Ronnie Jones was working on the Firestorm Matrix. However, there was an interference between the two machines and they were going to explode. When the facility was being evacuated, Bruce noticed that Ronnie was trying to fix the problem with his own machine, and rushed into the lab to save him. However, whilst they were in there, the machine exploded but it did not kill them. Their minds fused together due to the Firestorm Matrix, which chose the strongest body. This was Ronnie's body, in which the two minds shared.

Bruce's body had mutated due to the intense amount of gamma radiation it had received in the explosion [2]. It survived, however, thanks to his Father's injections. But without a mind, the mindless creature went on a mad rampage, and fought back when attacked by the military. After weeks of being hunted, it was the General's daughter and Bruce's girlfriend which calmed the Hulk and returned him to his human state. Eventually, Bruce found a way to return his mind back to his body, and so swapped between being the hero, Firestorm, or the monster, the Hulk.

Years of meditation and training his mind later, Bruce had managed to find a way to control the beast. He found a new strength, and with it, he turned from the grey Hulk to a new green colour, along with increased size and strength [3]. With his new strength and intelligence, the Hulk became a renown hero in his own name, even aiding Captain America, becoming a vital part of his Avengers team when they attacked the New Lords. But, in the climax of the battle, as Hulk and Thor were laying the final blows to Loki, he opened a boom tube which transported Hulk to a distant alien planet, left isolated in this unknown territory.
