Wanted to draw Megamind with my bubble superhero earthling Oc Delta. Rather freaked out over the fact I created her back in late 2009 before I even HEARD of the movie!!! Talk about Deja vu!Deltas from a fan sequel of mine along with 2 more characters I created. (they were created after I finally heard of the film but still diddn't watch it till dvd release) I'm still trying to finalize their character development/design though.
This is my 2nd sucessful attempt at drawing Megamind. I have a lot of problems drawing his face.
Of all the drawings I've tried planning out with these two this is the first thats come out how I want it. Hand drawn then touched up with digital paint. The border was cut and collaged around the pic in my A5 sketchbook. Altered it on pc to look more presentable and level.
I'll be honest I'm not a RoxanneXMegamind fan. I just like drawing him with Delta a LOT more. I mean their both bald, they both have horrid pasts and their Pink and Blue ^_^.

Deltas backstory still is kind of going through some tweaks but its getting there.
As a little girl Delta loses her hair in a bleach/soap factory accident which is how she gets her powers. Because of her baldness and her bubble powers she's considered a freak throughout her school/college years with no friends and is bullied horribly by this one nasty girl. The only ones who do care about her are her parents.
Delta wears a wig to hide the pink markings on her head.(They can sometimes glow). Deltas powers are controlled based on her emotions. The happier she is, the easier she can control her powers and create safer types of bubbles.Β
When pushing herself too much she gets weak and her body shuts down from dehydration.
One day her home-town are hosting some prom, pageant or convention and she gets humiliated by the mean girl who tears off her wig. Delta grows upset, embarrassed and she ends up creating a giant explosive bubble of energy destroying the entire town and everyone in it including her parents.
(There is another character of mine who's in Deltas story too but I'm keeping him quiet for now).

Yes. I'm still finding it a bit freaky myself. I made her in 2009 a few months after I finally checked out the film monsters vs aliens. (For the record I didn't enjoy the film as much as I thought)Β Then when browsing the web I came across the early poster of Megamind (It said Oobermind at the time) and I was like Β Β Β Β Β .Β Then I sort of began shipping them ever since. lolΒ Β

I would have to say her personality is the complete opposite of Megamind. While Megamind is confident with a bit of an ego,
Delta is extremely shy or scared around people she doesn't know too well. She's a loner (due to her past.) She is very kind and friendly and helps to protect those she cares about.
She has deep fears of the public and the press and how she'd be treated as a popular superhero if discovered. So she tries keeping herself and her powers a secret. Trying to blend in like a normal person.

Don't hold my word on that, but it just -seems- more common than the other way around. Which is weird, because in real life, usually the guys are more laid-back and fun.Β
