Description
This shot was taken on the Great Miami River at the site of the former village of Tadmor. Tadmor was an important transportation hub in Ohio in the 1800's. The Miami-Erie canal and the National Road both went through Tadmor, and the town thrived throughout the 1800's. However, the town was decimated by a massive flood in 1913. Then, in 1922, a dam built downstream from Tadmor made the area uninhabitable and it was abandoned. All that remains of the town now are a few stone foundations and the old canal sluice gate.Hoya R72 infrared filter. Channel mixer / curves / levels

It is such a great way of photography, infra red, I can't wait to have my new 30D and explore the world, together with an infra red filter.
