I know the feeling. I have electric heat and I just got the largest bill I've gotten since I moved here. And it's way worse for the people with propane or heating oil.

Plus I cop a nice buzz from the ionized air.

I used to ride my bike along Madison's beltline highway late at night on really hot, dry, windy nights with heat lightning crossing the sky. Warm enough to wear just colors, windy enough to fight the hog and push me into the lanes on either side of me. That strange ionized air feeling. Just about as close to heaven as one finds on earth.
Gives you that weird rush of being one with everything.
