Long ago, i lived in my apartment as a kid.
The stair cage was grey and white, with black railings and big glass panes that blinded you as you climbed up. Every day i would go up and down 3 floors, no matter if i was with other people or alone. You know what they say, that if you don't change your environment for too long you start to dream about it?

I remember a series of repeating dreams, when i was running all over the staircase, up and down the floors, running away. Just that. There was someone chasing me, but i didn't feel scared. When i woke up, there was no fear, because i was in no danger, back in my bed. It didn't have any effect on the real world.

One night though, the apartment stair cage inverted it's colors. Everything was saturated, bright and flashing. The floor tiles were blue, the filling was red. The person chasing me was moving faster than ever.

When i got caught and woke up, i stared at my wall, painted in the deep blues of my dream. The red tile grid was on my eyes, on my walls, in front of me still.
