An o.c i had created long before logging on to deviantart. the Tall Man is the nickname given to a strange creature from another dimension. The Tall Man's race is one of powerful humanoids, both physically and mentally. As such, his physiology is vastly different, not to mention vastly superior, to that of a human. He is made of 6 individual parts which are controlled via telepathy and a nervous/muscle system incomprehensible with current human technology. This allows him to "stretch" in ways normal entities shouldn't, so he can dodge an attack by displacing himself or reach out 30 feet to grab someone. Although much about this race's culture is shrouded in mystery, they are known to be very advanced, yet peaceful.

Unfortunately, the Tall Man did not share that attitude, and by their standards, he was quite insane. The Tall Man was a criminal, a serial killer, and a sadist. After killing multiple members of his own species, he was actively hunted and sentenced to execution. Because his whole race was soon united against him, The Tall Man was forced to flee his own dimension in an act of self-inflicted exile and hid on our world to escape his fate. Now on earth, the Tall man continues to indulge in his psychotic urges, and there is almost no man made weapon that can stop him.

The Tall Man is a murderer, but he's not insane. From his perspective (though he knows and doesn't care about the other viewpoints) he's enjoying the finer things in life and just plain having fun. He openly flaunts his presence instead of hiding like other monsters because compared to them, he is invulnerable. His skin is incredibly tough. It can withstand physical trauma equivalent to a gunshot. The only widely-used human weapon able to cut though his skin layer is a railgun, because they fire really, really fast shots. So he's not invincible, and isn't even that powerful in the grand scheme of things, but on earth he is nearly indestructible. Strengthwise he is no laughing matter. With some effort he can break a person's spine in half as shown in CruelWorld . He can bust down brick walls and lift cars (if he uses both hands). He may not be able to lift a tank, but he can punch it and leave a serious dent.

Last but not least his telepathy allows him to influence the minds of other beings and mess with their "circuitry" so to speak. This means he can cause hallucinations, induce anxiety, and eventually promote insanity. If he's putting a lot of effort into it he can reduce the weaker-willed or unprepared to whimpering messes in 20-30 seconds, and he'll attempt to use his mental advantages in a fight if he deems it necessary. So he's flexible (though not necessarily graceful), but he doesn't need to be physically touching you to be killing you.

The Tall Man is also eyeless. Even so, there are many moments where he SEEMS to have eyes. For some reason those under his influence see imaginary eyes on him though whether this is intentional or not is unknown. The eyes can take many forms, sometimes they're just black pits, and sometimes they glow red like hot coals. Some people think this phenomenon is an extreme version of pareidolia, where the unhinged victims mind desperately tries to humanize The Tall Man's unnatural face and fails.
