I like the older one better, but, since it is a based off a Sphinx this is a much better design and I think it's really creative how used a human-like mask rather then just placing some weird human face.

Man, the masks are great - they make them feel much more mysterious, and the fact you managed to keep the basic face shape is great as well. I'm digging all the parts in cyan too, since they look really icy.

This is absolutely amazing, this is. I especially like what you did with the mane and leopard-spot legs. About the only gripe I have is that there isn't a tail, but I bet the back feathers make up for that.
