A lot of your work is like a painted picture of my life. Its like a painted picture of everything that has happened to me and how I felt while it went on. If you know who I was in Real-life or anything about my story...It would probably make a lot of scents to you.
This painting here, this remind me of how i feel just about everyday...I actually cried when Looking at it for the first time the other day, granted I was really down at the time...but even still...it stirred me up enough to cry...something rare in the eyes of the world.
Basically, your work is amazing, keep it up.

Beautiful piece; it invokes so much emotion. I love the color and the way you made it appear to be something Iβd find in an old chest in an atticβ¦ Well done!

So cool to see this on the music site. Love the color scheme - very effective. I forget what the word (the name) means?

I love you btw... No more trees.... the only thing i would have different is taller branches and a bit more of the forboding feel.... and as the tree is there and alone is simply to me more in the lyrical makeup of what i think is interesting about it... it doesn't fit which makes it fit... maybe more of a gloom look to the roots and taller branches. but other than that... every time i look at it i like it better, excellent work.
your love,
joshua

well, the basic consensus is over the the tree..i think it just looks stunted, it needs to be more a part of the picture...the branches should be reaching out further (pokin the person in the eyeball?) a very moody peice^.^

I talked to Rook...and that's what he said. Well, no. He said he liked the whole thing. But I still wasn't happy with the tree. So he said I should make the branches more like they are stretching towards the sky.
I'm glad its moody though. ^^ That's what I was going for.

I actually thought of you while I was doing this. Josh really likes your art...so I tried to think of something that You would do but in my style. Or perhaps because it feels medieval to me. That always reminds me of you. heh.
Thanks! ^_^

Thank you. This painting is not at all like what I usually do. I tried relying on the lack of colour to portray a sense of foreboding and an aged feeling. Nothing pleases me more than to hear that a viewer -felt- something. Thanks, again.

AAAhhhg... His robes are insane! His hand is insane too... how the heck did you do this thing without using ink? Jeebus. I'm currently working on two pictures involving Rook's music... They'll be fun. I might even screw around with watercolour, though I'm really not expecting much to come of it. I've just been having fun with my drawings lately.

Lots...and lots of black paint. It probably would have been easier if I'd used ink. But, alas, I do not have any. So none of my new pictures have outlines or inked shading.
Oh, oh! I want to see you upload some watercolour stuff! ^^ I'm really interested to see how it will turn out. I don't even know what to expect. I don't think I've ever seen one of your drawings in colour. It'll be cool. So get to work!

Yeahhh... I think we're getting some ink for you soon o.0
My watercolour stuff generally just... looks funny. I dunno, I'm not very careful or precise, and I don't really -care- what I'm doing (which is a drastic change from all the other media I use).

actually i think that one tree could work if it was taller and spread out through the rest of the composition more. I think a single tree would help more with the macabre feel. Thats just my opinion though.

armawolf In reply to DarkSyren [2006-07-11 05:24:35 +0000 UTC]
I think you need more trees behind that one
it stands out because it's the only one and it's just there, but if it were part of a chain that parrallels or even intermingles with the people in line would be awesome.
